  • mojt - hugs. There are a lot of wise people on here who will be able to help you - so ask!

pigpen - well done on the cc :T

I think it's a real shame the "washing" threads got nasty. I can quite understand someone wanting to check their routines against other peoples and this sort of 'anonymous' forum should be the ideal place to do it.

This week is not starting off very well - that's all we have done so far. I seem to have a much busier social life now Izzy is here - I wonder how long it will take before she stops being new and exciting ;) Today we have a day off from social engagements until this evening when the in-laws are coming over. So todays list (plus lots of wasing) will be the priority, but will try and catch up on a few other bits if I get the chance. They are getting us all takeaway though, so at least we don't have to cook tonight, and with any uck there will be leftovers tomorrow too ;) Maybe I can try for pizza then there won't be washing up either - it's worth a try :T .

Just need to step away from the computer and get on with it.... once hungry baby is full up anyway. Anyone would think I hadn't been up half the night feeding her ;~)

    MOJ2 - hugs for you.

Toots - I have finished todays list. :D:D I deep cleaned it yesterday, even polished all the horse brasses which I hadn't done for months and months.

I spent most of 1pm - 10pm tidying/cleaning/de-cluttering yesterday which is just sad. Not sure how much longer the luxury of me being at home can conitnue for though so I am trying to get on top of things while I can. I have an interview on Monday for an interim job just doing TUPE (the bit of employment law I specialise in) which I would very much enjoy and that would pay the mortgage if DH does get made redundant.

We had a lovely day off planned for next Tuesday - birthday lunch without children at a lovely pub near Barnsdale Gardens (where we got married) - but he has to work now instead doing a presentation in London which may save his job, and those of his team. He hasn't really got a choice, and I fully support him doing it but I am a bit down about it. Any suggestions for how I can use my day off that don't involve cleaning or large amounts of cash? Boys are out 9-3 and I don't have any friends locally so it is just me on my lonesome :o .

Anyway, I must go and put the WM on and make a start on the playroom again.

  • Morning everybody
I think I fell out of bed or Sean and Pierce kicked me out! - I got up at 8am - I havent manged to be up that early for ages!!!! Most strange!

Thanks again for all your kind wishes as I am feeling so much better today - I am sure you all helped:A :A

morning Ladybird I hope little guzzling Izzy gives you some time to rest up today! I can imagine she is still very popular and getting loads of visitors!

mumofjustt2 massive (((hugs))) honey we are all here for you and will help if we can. Hope you take Pen Pen up on her offer - thats a great start to get. You will get through this I know because you are a strong smart lady!
juliejim if you have a spare that would be great - thank you so much!

hollyh I am guessing you need the smoke alarm for the high sleepers because smoke rises and they would be the first to be affected? If you think about safety in fire advice they always tell you to get down on the floor and crawl as there is usually more air.

pigpenWTG!!!!! R.I.P. pigpens credit card!! you should be well chuffed with yourself!

Lil_me happy birthday to your DH :bdaycake: hope you all have a great day at the cinema etc.
soappie pain in sinuses is horrible - hope it has eased off and you are feeling better.
hex fingers crossed for next week's presentation -its not easy just now or likely to be for a while. Is it your birthday or DH? what sort of things do you like to do? A 'you' day - get rid of everybody - have a soak in the bath with fav bubbles - pamper your body - leisurely food (prepared in advance) and take time to read or go for a walk/visit a gallery or museum or gardens/ browse a good book shop-go feed the ducks - something that you dont normally get the chance to enjoy!!

having got up early I have actually done a couple of things.

went looking for my buttons box and found some bits to declutter
found a needle with white thread already on it so went and repaired my bathroom blind (no.40!)
sorted out what I have to do this morning
    caught up on thread
    washing on
    shopping list done

    off for breakfast now
    back in a bit
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
