We've got one of the big wipeboards too, its great for lists althoughits abused by bf writing silly chores on ' make bf pancakes, coook biscuits for bf ' at least i've normally got less to do than the list looks like!! Having decluttered and painted kiddies room.....

Does anyone know where I can buy 2 x large cheap notice boards

for the kids to pin their pics up on, rather than bluetacking to the wall???

Off for a quick HHC see you soon!

    Morning all

    No washing today.

I've vacuumed right through downstairs and done the stairs.

Vacuumed all round the computer bits and shook crumbs out of the keyboard and then cleaned it with wet wipes. Did the mouse with wet wipes too. There's probably still stuff in there but it's much better (and the keys aren't sticking so much ;))

Just wiped round the window frame, above the frame and the edge of the ceiling above the window, in the back bedroom which is next to be painted. It was a bit black but came off well just with a microfibre cloth and water so not too bad. I think it was dirt from having the window open a bit all the time rather than mildew (or cannabis residue from next door.....). We've got a little bit of bathroom emulsion left so we'll use that up round the window just in case it's mildew. I was brave and stood on a stool and everything.

    Off to catch up.
  • Ok, showered, dressed and have begun the list, (although not much so far)!

Quite glad I've got a few bits done. Got quite a bit of sorting to do in our bedroom as we have taken our old one down and put my Grandad's old wardrobes in its place so we've got more storage. Didn't finish doing it until 11pm last night so still got a bit of sorting out to do.

Might pop out for half an hour before lunch. DH needs a new watch battery and I fancy making a carrot cake this week so need a few bits.
  • Does anyone have good ideas about cleaning carpets that are covered in hair? I'd love to blame the puppy but it isn't her it's me - I moult worse than any dog I've met and when hoovering end up having to detangle to brush all the time. I wondered about getting a fairly stiff brush and using that first? Sorry, I know it's gross!

What about using the nozzle end first to get the worst up? at least you wouldn't have to keep clearing the brushes? It's hard I know, my dogs fill my dyson up every day, but short hair so not as bad, doesn't get tangled up.

Our bedroom still looks spotless from last time...It's so weird to plan to tidy a tidy room! That's where I was going wrong before...leaving it til it's a tip and then putting it off!
That's so true, it's someone telling me to pick the stuff up, wash the sheets, clean the windows makes me do it - like being back at school... ;) Hubby telling me didn't work as I would just tell him back... and you all know where THAT leads, not that he does that now (he daren't... :rotfl: )
Tonight I'm panicing so much about tomorrow that I've got up again. There is no way I can sleep like this. I have to go to the bank and go food shopping for three things. It's pathetic. I thought my agoraphobia was more or less gone. Yeah right. My brain is popping with panic, like having rice krispies in it. And my chest is tight (its ok checked this with the doc its normal) and I feel frozen with fear and can't stop thinking about it. My rational brain tells me its fine, but my panic is out of control.
It's not pathetic at all, it's a fear and they are never rational - I hope you get through it OK - let us know when you have, we're all right with you... :A
I hate heights and just someone leaning on a wire sent me into a panic (it was in Gibraltar and they have absolutely NO sense of H&S there - a bit of angle iron and two wires were the fence blocking a 1000ft fall and this guy was leaning on them to take a photo  ) I ran down half the mountain before hubby and friends caught me, then we had to walk back up to get the cable car back down (roads blocked from where they caught me...) in 90+ degrees heat and monkeys jumping out at our every turn... :rotfl: it was hilarious once I had calmed down, but totally irrational and I just freaked... not even someone I knew... I can't even watch that barclaycard advert with the flumes - makes my stomach turn and I have to look away...:o

Wow, sorry for big post... have tried to catch up but need to get on with some work now so have had to skip last 5 pages - hugs to those who need them, Toots - how you feeling today? better I hope, I've only had one email? :rotfl: .

So far I have stripped my bed and am about to declutter the floor, nag DS to move his butt and generally get my own moving....

    ARRRGGHHH!!!!!!

I give up. Just been doing the list and trying to declutter at the same time. I NEED a new bed. Preferably a bedstead that I can use for underbed storage, or a divan with storage drawers. Mine is a tatty old no storage divan( are you seeing a theme here yet?). Just in case you dont....
    I NEED MORE STORAGE!!!

Kids winding each other up, and winding me up. Littlest pest winding cat and dog up, dog and cat winding each other up and running wild all over the house!!!!
GODS, is it time for work yet?

I'm really fighting the urge to do a major declutter in one fell sweep and hoof him out.

Ooooooo that's on my deep clean spring clean list!!! That will be one big declutter, and I'll be wanting a full set of stars when I finish decluttering. (sorry, shouldn't be so fatuous)

  • Hi everyone

thanks for all the kind wishes - I am feeling better today - not 100% but so-so!!! Dont think its a virus more likely my diabetes.
And its a lovely sunny day so washing on and will get it out asap.

sexy awh honey thats not so good - will keep sending positive vibes anyway - you are right not to build your hopes up it maybe wasnt the right school for you yet.
triker great idea with the white board
G&B sorry I cant give you stars for all your studying - sounds like you have a lot to get on with just now - good luck.

I didnt look at the link to the childrens bathing as I gathered from your posts that it was a bit out of hand - I didnt want to get sidetracked - and I have to agree with froddy, sarah, greenbee etc we ARE a friendly bunch - dont know about the 'well-balanced' bit though:rotfl: :rotfl:
I hope you are all having a good half term - all of you that are on holiday that is - and that the children being at home isnt driving you to distraction - remember its only a few days - please dont murder any of them it would make too much mess to clear up!:rotfl:

I hope I havent missed anyone - hugs to everyone anyway - my brain is still a bit mushy this morning - so please make sure you check that I have given you your stars!
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
