  • Morning All

I have not been here much in the last 2 weeks as I have been struggling with the Thyroid and have had no energy - but feel a little better today so shall try and go through the weekend list. Will go and hang the washing out and put a new load in the wm.

    1. Clean out the car boot!!!!!! Oh yes the boot!! lol
    2. Clear out and clean the porch!
    3. Get everything ready for school/work on Monday
    4. S&S the kitchen
    5. [STRIKE]S&S the bathroom [/STRIKE] DD did this yesterday after I threw a complete wobberly about their lack of help and general laziness
    6. Wash any bedding that has been neglected
    7. Catch up on the ironing mountain!!
    8. [STRIKE]Clean out the pets.. they are pongy! [/STRIKE]did this yesterday!
    9. Meal plan for the week
    10. Organise the finances for the week.. I know a lot of get paid this week! YAY!!
    11. Sort out one cupboard/chest of drawers
    12. Vacuum a neglected room
    13. Spend some time as a family.. no tv, no
    14. Must do a food shop as we have NO food in the house except tinned pulses that the kids dislike and some porridge. (there will be a rebellion if I don't go) - the kids have eaten everything edible in the house during the week as I have been sooooo frugal with the shopping due to a distinct lack of money.
Not sure how much I will manage but I will try today....

    Morning all.
Have done no flying this weeend, as usual, but DP has been and done a bit. Just dailies to keep the house going. Think my major meltdown the other day helped hehe! Should have them more often, he even ran me a hot bubble bath withe candles and everything for me getting home from work last night!

Its a beautiful day here today, Bright sunshine, not too cold. So I am going to do some general flying through the entire house. Sunshine always makes me feel happier!

Off to put Star Wars on for the boys, finish my cuppa then I am going to tidy round in the kitchen.

dusty & serena - thanks for the advice, yes I have itchy fingers dont think the veg patch will be ready for this year too many tree stumps/roots etc so it looks like containers hence the toms & cucumber, will get some lettuce seeds as i really object to buying lettuce when freshly picked tastes so much better, had also thought of courgettes in a growbag. Must get myself over to the garden thread on here.

gnb - will have a think for lent but yes will do something

nicki&lil_me - count me in for the no spend/no waste i to had to bin stuff that had gone off when i cleaned out the fridge not as much as before but still more than it should be.

Okay dog walked, soup on for lunch, roast in SC, house has had a quick S&S and is looking okay going to have a HHS before lunch and get my OU bits organised, have just started my 2nd course and need to sort that out. gnb may need you later currently trying to get my head around integration and double angle formulas etc and not succeeding hoping it was just tiredness the other night.

ETA kaz thanks for your list may get your advice over this year, Ihad a small veg patch at the other house (mainly to grow peas as the girls love fresh picked peas) but nothing here we are slowly removing trees & hedges to try to make room for a patch and also a flower bed to inject some colour. I am looking to grow as much as I can in containers mainly salad stuff probably but game to try anything.

Nicki - freeze your wine - you can add it to stocks etc (waits for Soappie and Greenbee to come up with even better suggestions...)

Or just cork it and leave it on the side for cooking. It'll last for weeks - although it may become undrinkable, it can still be used in, say a chicken casserole or beef stew.

I second that - I often use ancient wine in cooking.

I'm off to shower and dress before we go out and with a bit of luck and speed I'll get the bathroom done too!

Change on plan on two fronts...
    1) its now drizzling (and freezing!) so the wool blankets are now going on maidens in the livingroom. I'll put the fire on later to dry them if I need to...hoping this is just a shower!
    2) Wine is going back in the fridge for now... not sure what I'll use it in yet as its a rose and this using up rather than throwing out, could prove interesting...

Looking forward to monday as it shouldn't take as long as not only have i done the room on the day but i have actually kept to dailies to ensure i'm not back in the same mess.

I am hoping my sis will come over later and play with children so i can do my essay redraft. Came back from my tutor with a few changes and i want to hand it in on thursday but don't seem to make any headway with it whilst DH been ill the last week.

Teachers out there - i cannot believe you get this done and your planning. I failed miserably when i did it with just one little one and even before that. I felt quite faint at (can't remember who's list) 5 aday and on it were lit and num planning!! i would use that as an [strike]excuse [/strike] reason to get nothing else done!!

Right, off to attack study downstairs laptop table and then can strike that off too

ETA - hmm didn't get above done but have crossed off a few more things

Am feeling demoralised as there is so much left on the lists to do. So I've picked out four things that are in my mind priorities, and have listed them seperately so I don't have to look at the long depressing bit above!

My aims for today: wash up at least once
    clean loo and sink
    wash bathmat
have another go at LR floor

Dusty, hope your DD is ok now, bad dreams are awful

Rose he is fine now thanks, singing at the moment!

Don't get demoralised. Scrap last weeks list. No carrying over, you know the routine it will all be on there again in the future. Look at what you have done and not what you haven't REMEMBER LISTS ARE A SUGGESTION ONLY.
