What's all this rubbish about me saying that people are "not allowed to have a different point of view"????

What a load of rot - anyone can post anything they like but if it's a pathetic attempt to just heckle for the sake of heckling like 'nyar, your link is two months old' then they should expect it to be ridiculed.

You hecklers like dishing it out but you can't take it when someone highlights your childish behaviour.

some one obviously didn't have a good valentines weekend - don't take it out on us old chap.

    I've been Money Tipped!
There was a time when PN, fc123, NDG and I would have stepped in to talk about cake or decking at this point. I know you stick to the topic guys hated it, but its surely no worse than this constant tit for tat. Generali had some good recipes IIRC.

Definitely agree on the 'having a job' thing, though I can't see them tightening up much on benefits payments for the simple fact that they don't want the ensuing trouble from a large number of disaffected people with time on their hands and a sense of lost entitlement.

Quite why people are entitled to benefits for doing nothing is beyond me. The simple notion that just by existing you are entitled to housing and a stipend is ludicrous. It breeds laziness in some quarters.

I would ensure that claimants would have to undertake some voluntary work or community service of some sort.

Not posted a recipe for quite a while.

Did a good one tonight as it goes. Banana prawns with lemon and chilli. Serves 4.

Did some basic rice 'n' peas (literally boiled white rice with cooked frozen peas mixed through) - made it in a rice cooker with the peas zapped in the microwave for 3 mins with a little water.

Then got 1.5kg/3lbs of green banana prawns. Peeled and threaded them. Chopped a small red onion, a small red pepper, squeezed a lemon, chopped a clove of garlic, a small handful of flat leaf parsley and sliced up 3 red chillies.

-Put 2 tbs olive oil in a big frying pan.
    - Add the onion and stew gently for about 5 mins.
    - Chuck in everything else except the parsley and chillies on a higher heat until the prawns are done.
    - Remove everything with a slotted spoon and bang the heat up to max until the remaining juice has reduced by half. Pour the juice over the prawns etc, serve the rice on the side and garnish with lots of parsley and chilli.

It rocks! 7 Weight Watchers points per serving. Adapted from their book. You need nice prawns, not those horrible farmed things from Indonesia/Vietnam.

lying git actually bought frozen, deveined green prawns. Was the best meal I've had in a few weeks though, and we went to a great Sydney restaurant just yesterday under the Harbour Bridge. Life is hard...

(That is the real MrsGenerali not just me !!!!ing around)

You can get good frozen prawns over here. I never found decent frozen prawns in the UK. Taste the Difference Sainsbury's one were ok.

Most prawns here have been frozen though before point of sale. I have a bit of a problem with brtish prawns/lobseter etc. Its just so different to what I was brought up with...even though sometimes delicious....lobsters here are so small. I have a love hate thing with prawns anyway ....they can remind me of curled up fingers :o and then I can't eat them. And I'm confused buy the terms here....I'm never sure anymore what is prawn and what is shrimp in defferent places....I think ATM shrimps are small in UK and Prawns are bigger. But can also be small if in Marie rose sauce :D

Talking about good food, I've just been away in Barcelona for the weekend with my better half.

WOW is all I can say. That place must be the food lover's delight.

I was almost gutted we didn't have a kitchen as I just wanted to cook the biggest bit of steak I could get my hands on.

Spanish & Catalonian food is YUM!

It will have to be done - got a few more European city breaks planned for when I've got another job on the go, I would be quite happy to pick destinations simply on their cullinary attractiveness.
