Ok can if we are all agreed can I officially name the new voucher a Perkie ??

Im so pleased Ive actually thought of something fairly useful:o:o

I agree - Perkie is good to go!!
  • Perkie sounds great :T
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

  • I can really recommend the No 7 pore refining serum. Its about £11 normally but a lot of Boots' have reduced it. I love it, makes my skin look even and blackheads less noticeable. Loads of people have commented on my (normally awful) skin. :) Obviously even if you have to pay £11, it'll only be £6 with the purplie and it is well worth that imo. :)

I'll second that. I bought some a few weeks back, marked down. I really wasn't expecting it to work as well as it does (I never believe all the claims they make about skin products) - there's a visible difference, and my skin looks really smooth when I use it :)

Can't stop long so I'll have to pop back later and thank peeps if I get the chance. Some odds and ends that were reduced today:

Natural Collection Fruit Burst Lip Gloss Trio - 75% off and on 342

    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=48583&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051

Most of the NC shower creams, including vanilla, were 49p and there's other odds and ends in that range worth looking for.

Sanctuary Spa Essentials Travel Spa - 75% off and on 342

    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=11893&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051

Can't find the next on Boots, but the Butterlicious Coconut & Shea Body Butter, and most of this range is also on 75% off. See below for idea of what it is:

Apart from the last item mentioned, most of those were in the smaller shops where you might not find 3 together unfortunately. But all were on SELs and might be worth looking for. Hths :) x

P.S. Just skim read the last few pages and once again I'm amazed at some SAs. So sorry you went through what you did today SandraScarlett :( and after reading it, I'm in the rare position where I actually hope that someone from the Boots hierarchy are actually reading this thread and act on it.

Take care and Illegitimi non carborundum ;) xxx

Sandra Scarlett, I also applaud your responses to the awful supervisor. She quite clearly acted in a totally unprofessional way however you have probably left her with some serious food for thought re her words.

Maybe just maybe, she'll dream of her Mum tonight and realise just how cruel and rotten her attitude was toward you, I don't wish her ill as I'm sure you don't, I just wish her humanity, which you sweetie have bucketloads of. xx

Anyway had a boots shop today, (I'm an old Tesco clubcarder points collector but still learning here), was point blank refused the S and G £2 voucher even though I bought full size skin care stuff.............................ok, ok, anti wrinkle stuff if you must know :D. I only tried one as well, was told that there should be a list of stores accompanying the voucher?????

Tons of the P and P stuff still very visibly advertised at half price but didn't bother as its not my thang.

My ACM hates my guts as it only EVER gives me 1 choice of voucher, £35 spend for 350 points.

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages. I did tell my DH, and he said "For God's sake don't tell DD, she'll go up there, have a row, probably get arrested", which is true!

I just haven't the energy to go through everything again with CS, and even though there were other SAs there as witnesses, I haven't got the oomph in me to go through it all. In any event, if I sent an email, they'd ask me to "telephone us at the following number to discuss your query".

No, I'll just wait till I get a survey thingy to fill in, and I shall add my praise for the No 7 lady, who was great. The only satisfaction I have is that the staff will talk about the Lady Of The Meadow to each other, and hopefully, she will get piles or something, as a punishment.

And then she'll wish that there was a £2 voucher for haemerroid cream, won't she?

I posted, and then read backwards, and it seems that Angel 69 had a similar experience. Someone asked why some SAs act the way they do when we produce vouchers. You know what I think? Jealousy. They see us working out our deals, using mathmatical formulae that would qualify us for the Krypton Factor, and they don't like it.

I also said to Mrs Piles "What is the point in being giving an Advantage Card and vouchers, from The Advantage Card Machine if one is not to take advantage of the opportunities presented?" and that didn't get a reply either.

Curlylocks, that was a wonderful generous, and kind-hearted thing to do my darling, and you will be blessed and never get piles!

Yes, I think the phrase "Pinkie and Perkie" sounds great, and as it's purple, then I agree, a great name would be Perkies or Purkies!

Cheered up now, cos I've just got a Zizzi voucher - £1 for a meal! See, doesn't take much to make me happy.

    xx

    Sandra, you are an inspiration!

After what you've been through, you're still looking on the bright side.

I am horrified by what you've told us  - talk about 'you couldn't make it up'!! 'Appalling customer service" barely touches on how bad it was!!

I can just about see an argument that the supervisor's 'smirk' might have been a 'transfixed by horror' expression, and her sniffing an expression of her grief over her mother (and an non-verbal acknowledgement of her poor behaviour towards you?). But that might simply be transference - I know that my emotions were all over the place when I lost a family member to cancer, and that meant that my reactions weren't always 'appropriate'. :o

And I still remember with horror the awful expression on my face when a colleague told me that his mother had just died. I had just learnt myself, the night before, that my family member's cancer was incurable and, in my confusion, I though he was making an incredibly bad taste joke. Yet British restraint made me stick a mocking grin on my face, rather than telling him off... until I realised he was telling the truth - and didn't know about my own news. :o But , I digress (as Ronnie Corbett might say).

Anyway, I can totally understand why you don't feel able to report the incident yourself. I'm sure the last thing you need is to have to go over it again.

You have described it so vividly however, that it wouldn't surprise me if onlookers in the shop didn't feel moved to report it on your behalf ;)

Take care of yourself, and illegitimis non carborundum ;):D

(I won't use that 'hugs' icon, as it seems overly forward and presumptious, since we haven't been formally introduced :o :rotfl: . I do send you a huge hug, however)
  • Used the S&G vouchers today on 3 minis in local Boots. The till beeped and the SA said it was due to it not to be used on minis, I pointed out it was only not to be ued on wipes. SA looked confused and called another SA who was also confused. She went off, not looking to happy to the supervisor. After 10 mins a friendly looking supervisor came over and said she would let the vouchers go through this once.

There were still a couple of no7 tan moisturisers down to 4 pound something left in the final clearance section.

Dear Mr B (or if you're off duty now your sidekick Smithers),

Read the lovely Sandra's post with horror!

Please respond as quickly to this as you do when our much loved (but too often shortlived) glitches appear on .com.

You have enough info in that post to work out who she was.

    Do something about it!

Most of the posters on this board choose to spend money in your store - many have defected from Mr T's, S****D**g and more. If this "level" of customer services seems acceptable then we could of course vote with our feet.
