I did manage to get 2 olay GWP's (one for me and one for my mum for mothers day) with only the olay definity cleanser (in 2 separate transactions)
I also got the gillette shaving foam for 97p with the 150 points voucher and a 75ml Boots Extract Cocoa Butter body wash for £1.62 (there was 1/3rd of Extracts) and used a 150 points voucher that I got from the ACM.
I saw the smillie perfume that Sally06 said was in our local reduced to about £3 something and tried it but wasn't keen on it... The Nivea DNAge Zone that was £7.80 on clearance before the changover and could be used with the wrinklies has now gone down to £3.80 typically... quote]
hi jemclasjess:hello: I was in our local this afternoon for about 10 minutes. Well done for getting the new olay GWP with a cleanser:T I agree, they do look nice. I was in two minds whether to try to get one with a cheaper product, but was unsure if it would work and didn't have the nerve to try incase it didn't:o If I was in a different store, I wouldn't have given it a second thought. But you know what they are like in our local:rolleyes:
I saw the DNAge too. Didn't I say the manager would reduce them as soon as the wrinklies expired? tut tut:rolleyes: DNAge is on offer with £3 off at the moment. I have a feeling £3 will be deducted from the price of the zone thingy at the till, leaving 80p or 90p to pay.
I saw some reduced med shower gel, body butter and hand cream with reduced stickers on. I'm sure another 1/3 would come off at the tills, but I didn't try as I don't need them. Got too much med stuff already. Also, some essential aromatheraphy products on clearance and a few face creams (don't ask what brands, as I have forgotten already:o )
I had the gillette bag price checked (the one someone mentioned getting for £3 yesterday?) but it scanned at £9 odd:rolleyes:
The clearance stand near the No7 counter has No7 suncreams and fake tan heavily reduced now. I didn't see any other reductions on No7 apart from the no grains exfoliater. I got one free with a perkie:T
no new H&B magazines to be seen!
I knew there was something I was meant to look for today - the smiley sets:o I completely forgot to look in the perfume section:rolleyes:0 -
Colchester has loads of the Gillette putting sets - they have an SA promoting the fact if you buy 2 you can get it free... I picked up the sensitive skin foam mousse SEL says 97p but went through at 23p each :j
Had to go back to SA with receipt before she would give me the putting set though (was a bit worried as it isn't on receipt and was thinking "knowing my luck I'll get stopped by security" etc and SA would have gone on her break or something  so wouldn't be able to confirm what happened - there are no signs to say about the offer!)
Luckily that didn't happen!I am a worrier

The majority of Alliance pharmacies which have been taken over by boots, are, as far as I know being slowly refitted.
At the moment they fall into 2 categories;
Those that have had a full refit, still have the Alliance sign outside, but have been rebranded inside and stock
a moderate amount of boots products inc, No7. The tills in these stores are set up for promotional vouchers
..perkies, wrinklies, MOC's, etc.
You will also get points on your Advantage card, as well as being able to use ACM vouchers, or benefit from extra points offers...
Like the recent 100 points wyb HE products.
Some also stock small amounts of the xmas gift range, current gwp's, etc, clearance items, old gwp's etc.
The remaining unbranded stores, have small stocks of certain boots ranges, but do not give you points,
or hand out current offer vouchers.
You can, in most cases still use MOC's and vouchers like perkies/ wrinklies etc, in store.
ACM vouchers for BOGOF, or £xx off can be used, but extra points vouchers cannot be used.
Once these stores have been refitted, points, perkies, etc, may be both used and recieved. HTH.
Alliance and Boots merged in April 2008 - nobody took anyone over. The rest of the Alliance branded stores will be refitted this year, hopefully by the third quarter.
They've also just merged with D&A so expect to see more Boots opticians about. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

Hi Sally06,
I didnt realise that you might still get more money of the reduced/clearance stuff like Nivea DNage and med stuff because they have promotions on them otherwise I might have tried it!! I wasnt planning on going back to town until next Friday cause I keep spending too much but maybe I can fit in a small trip to Boots... lol...
There wasnt much left of the smillie perfume so if you need to get it you will have to be quick.
I was feeling really brave today because the cleanser was on a stand at the end of the aisle with the other more expensive stuff but it was out of stock on the shelf (I wonder why!!) and it was the last one so I grabbed it.... I was ready to stand up for myself for once!! I paid upstairs at the photo till on my first visit and then I went back in on my way out of town to get a meal deal and spotted one more cleanser on the shelf that had 2 hours earlier been out of stock. Maybe they are bringing out one at a time. Got a nice SA who didnt bat an eyelid so I was lucky to get another one!!
BTW We Will definately have to meet up some time...0 -
Hi Everyone...
You are all talking about receipts lol what about the actual items that are taking over our homes as well lol :rotfl: My mam says I need to go to Boots anonymous lol .. I say I do.. it's the Boots thread on MSE but it's where all the bargains are talked about as well lol... :rotfl:
I am glad the acm + store offers are rubbish at the minute, so I am not buying as muchdon't think I need anything at the minute either as I have actually bought myself things, which is normally unheard of as I didn't really used to hmmm anyway, most of the things I have bought are presents for people for birthdays, christmas, etc .. some paid with cash, others paid by or partly by blinkies + perkies.
Have you all counted the things you have bought? I got too much :j :rotfl:
