  • Wow ! Well done ! I don't feel so bad now about my haul. :rotfl:
I live in fear of a leaking HE bottle all over my other goodies. It's the dilemma of 'do you put each bottle/item/jar in a seperate bag, or risk a spillage' !

After each shopping trip I tally my receipts together in 3 columns: 'cash paid - points back = real price paid'. :o
Then next it's laying everything out, that was bought that day, and then a 'guess how much' session........:o
I reeeeaaaally should get out more :rotfl:(just not to Boots).

Thanks + good about your stash also :D xx

  • As its payday, and now something of a tradition with me (ie I've done it the past 2 months lol), I visited a couple of Boots.

First one, tiny one, had all the No7 foundation at £7 (so did the next Boots I went to as well - I really think this is a nationwide deal). They also had loads of Hydroquench night sorbets on clearance, but still at £8.xx. I really like this product, so probably will use a perkie or 2 on these, but theres no SS till in this store, and I didn't want to risk the SA telling me I couldn't use a perkie on a reduced item. So I bought nothing  .

Second store has SS tills - but no Hydroquench on clearance.
Spent some points instead, on a Botanics mini-facial pack £1.84 on SEL reduced from £4.84. Also got an Olay Definity brightening cream wash £5.82, and the new Olay GWP.
Sanctuary mini travel set still scanning at full price here.

There's no Hydro Quench left at all in our local branches, and I really like the Night Sorbet - it leaves my skin feeling lovely and smooth. Why is it that when I discover something that works for me, they always discontinue it? :( It was still available on dot com when I looked earlier, but it was still about £16 !!

I've got wee bundles of Boots goodies stashed all over the place now, since the 75% sale - I honestly don't know how much I've got. Lets put it this way - I could smother myself top to toe in Olay wash, No7 and Time Delay moisturisers for about a year, plus shampoo, condition, and treat a large hairdressers salon-worth of hair for the same time :T . OH is amply supplied with shave gel for at least a year, and we've probably got enough toothpaste just from the last weeks bargains to do us 6 months.

    Thank you muchly Mr B.
  • Thank you to jazzteddy, for posting the information about Alliance pharmacies :) Hopefully it won't be long before ours has finished being rebranded. It currently has a fair bit of stock reduced, but mainly medicines and tablets of various kinds.

After my visit to Boots was cut short earlier, as Alliance had made me late and I had to collect my daughter from school, I headed back to Boots this evening. I took the kids with me, and we went for a meal at the chippy afterwards (not discounted in any way, but really enjoyable all the same).

I got a mobile phone top-up for my son, so earned a perky and some points. I would never have known this could be done if it wasn't for the helpful people on this forum :)

I then bought the Amazon Forest Brazil Nut & Vanilla Body Wash and the matching Body Butter at 1/3 off and earned another perky. This smells gorgeous, but the Body Scrub for some reason doesn't smell quite as good.

Then I got the No7 Stay Perfect Compact Foundation, which had an SEL of £6.35 (but didn't mention the previous price at all) and used a perky, so £1.35 to pay

Then the No7 Stay Perfect Liquid Foundation, which had an SEL of £7.00 (and again didn't mention the previous price) and used another perky, so £2.00 to pay.

Finally, just as the store was about to close, I plucked up the courage to try my luck with the Olay GWP. I approached the SA with the £5.82 Definity Cleanser and the GWP, and said I assumed I could get the GWP with this, since it was on the display shelf with it. He scanned it to see and success!! :T So thank you to whoever it was that reported the GWP could be got with this :D

All in all, I was very pleased with this evening's haul :)

You and me both... I have mine in those green boxes (Tesco have salad delivered in them!) cos they stack well. I have 8 stacked - full - 2 huge boxes in DD's room, and 2 groaning shelves in the back bedroom (presents) and about a dozen carrier bags of stuff I haven't yet allocated a permanent home to. :o Oh and the boxes on the armchair awaiting the shelves in the kitchen to be put up. Not to mention the box I don't even see anymore its been there so long under the basin in the downstairs loo :p

OH swears one day Mr B will come knocking cos he's short of stock in store :rotfl:

Does anyone know do any Boots still sell home made wine/beer stuff? I know they used to, but maybe not anymore!
  • I've been busy sorting my stash into different bags and boxes according to type LOL. I've got far more makeup, creams, cleansers and hair products than I've ever had before, and a large amount of S&G, and it gives me great pleasure looking at it all :)

Told you all yesterday my guess on that 1 :D !!! that's why the staff were grabbing all the hand creams + foot balms ...cos there were ½ price, not that any of us knew hmmm

I guess that explains why a couple of days ago there was a huge basket of No7 handcreams on the floor behind the No7 counter. They looked like they'd all been thrown in there, and not like they'd just come out of a box ready to go on the shelves

probably thrown in there like the foundation I got today was all over the counter, so must be the staff grabbing most of them! no wonder we are lucky to find much of the NO7 clearance stuff cos SA's are getting them.
