Some great shops yesterday. However, in all this time I have never had a P&P voucher from the ACM. :mad:

I've just checked one of the receipt and it's a little strange. I have only ever got one meal deal this month so the previous receipt said I needed 4 more to get the sixth free but on this receipt it said:

Duck Wrap : 2.75
Appletiser: 0.95
Mini Eggs 1.07
Chicken sandwich: 0.00
Appleltiser: 0.95
Carrot Cake: 0.00

Saving £1.48 = £4.24

Multisave Appletiser -60p
- 35p

Total: £3.29

Not sure how this happened as I'd not got the 4 meals to get the 6th free. I know this for a fact as the previous transaction which I'd done seconds earlier was still telling me I needed another 4! However, I'm not complaining.

Just to make it more confusing todays receipt is still saying 'You've bought 1 meal deal. Buy 4 more before the 28/2/09 to claim your 6th for free'.

Who knows what's going on!!!

I would & then try it again at another store, or indeed, even at the same store, but with a different SA. There sems to be a huge variation between transactions with different SA's. Some are great & will try putting anything through the till & even manually override 'beeps' if you are lucky. Whereas others are 'on a mission' - you'd think it was there own money! As another poster has suggested, if you don't get the outcome you want, just politely say it worked for a friend or reli earlier & ask them to try again - if they won't say you will leave it. Like you, though, sometimes in the heat of the moment I get confused (not difficult these days!) & only realise later it hasn't quite worked out - so then I just take it back for a refund (except cosmetics & medicines_ - they should refund or change (if you haven't got the receipt) everything else). It would be worth a try, I don't think you are being cheeky.
Mr B puts vouchers in the ACM so Advantage Card holders get deals that are over and above those available to non card holders, ie: to put you at an advantage. Any customer can get a wrinklie etc if they spend over £5. If they won't let you use the two vouchers together then they shouldn't be running simultaneous promotions in the store and on the ACM.

Only reason really why I drove the hour to Kings lynn today was to go to college and copy some files onto my memory stick. When I got home it had gone. Its red, High school musical (lol) rubber like, it clips around your wrist, so must have fallen off Could easily be mistaken for a childs bracelet as the clip is the actual bit that goes in your pc. If anyone sees it in boots (as I imagine I would have lost it in), would you please, please, please pick it up and pm me.. Has a lot of my degree work on etc... So stupid, I should have put it in my bag. thanks!

can you not use the p&p vouchers from the acm on clearance/reduced items?
it doesnt say on the voucher

I don't think you can return items such as these, sorry. You could try, but steel yourself for being told "no." Chalk it up to a Bootsing lesson, and be prepared when you go to the till to know whether or not you want an item anyway if the voucher isn't accepted or doesn't work. If you know you won't want it, be ready to say "I'll leave it then."

On a note related to not knowing if an SA will take all your vouchers, I've learned if I have a hard-to-come-by voucher, I hand that over last. This is because some SAs will scratch out the barcodes on the vouchers as they go along rather than waiting until the end -- and if they've already scratched out the barcode on a Perkie and then refuse to use the ACM one, you've just lost a Perkie.

Just totaled up me spends from the weekend - these do include essentials such as nappies, cotton wool and baby juice.

Total spend: £38.35

Total Saved (ie free goods!) £58.57 :j

Total points: 1320

Could have kicked myself as if I had got all the baby essentials together I would have got triple points. Never mind. Still can't complain about my stash. :T

Yep I've done the hairy combo and each time it had to be manually entered in by a supervisor.

i return my hand cream/lash curler/GWP combo a few hours later when SA take only one voucher and later bought the same combo elsewhere where they take both my vouchers. Don't want to lost my 5 pound where i can buy 20+ pound worth of goods from boots with that amount of money!
