Two more newbie questions - sorry if I should know this by now!
1. I know all the vouchers say things like 'only one voucher per transaction' but can you use one of each? As long I bought the right stuff could I use a wrinklie and a perkie? Or both parts of the wrinklie?
2. Are the hairys working on mini's? I know that they say they can't be used, but is it worth a try?
Thank you, and I promise to pay more attention in future!0 -

Hi, you can use one of each voucher, for example-
1 wrinklie, 1 hairy, 1perkie, 1 P&P acm, etc etc

I have not tried this myself, but I think people have been refused at the till. Not sure about ss tills, perhaps you could bluff it and try.0 -

Hiya
Not a regular Bootser (not good enough at the maths!!) but just passing through and thought I would comment - as a 21 year old, I would also like the reassurance of a smear done earlier. However, having worked for quite some time in a family planning clinic, I know that the reason they have upped the age is to do with inaccurate results. A woman's cervix is still changing rapidly as a late teen/young adult, which means nearly every smear done on someone of that age would show abnormal cells. Obviously, this renders the process meaningless, as well as giving unnecessary worry to the patient re: abnormal cells, and a significant amount of nhs time and money.
Please don't take that the wrong way, I just wanted to give the other side of the story. As always, if women younger than the routine age feel any cause for concern they can still request that it's investigated.0 -

Well, yesterday I had loads of coupons to use and decided that although I already had a NO7 GWP for me, had given one away and got 3 others to give away all thanks to the Body Serum, I'd quite like one as a spare. So decided to use the ss tills to see how cheap I could get one. I put some things in my basket and went off to the SS tills to try my luck, I had put 2 GWP's in my basket, just in case I could get the clearance things to work as full price to qualify but only pay half - no such luck!!
I also have the use of an over 60's card which belongs to a housebound friend of mine, she doesn't use it but when she wants anything from Boots, I get them for her and knock off the money she would have got as points, I also get her shopping for her and often treat her to things as a thank you.
Shop 1
P&P hand cream, - £10
reduced No7 tinted moisturiser - 4.75
Time delay gradual tan moisturiser - 5.86
No 7 cooling after sun - 3.93
John Freida hairspray - 2.44
No7 GWP
Used
£5 P&P voucher
£5 Perky,
£5 wrinkly
£2 hairy
250 points from previous GWP
tried the 100 Sumptuous bath but wouldn't work
Till kept coming up need assistance and SA kept having to come over but she was really nice and we got it all through eventually.
After the 10% over 60 disc. I paid £7.51, got 274 in points and had earned another perky.
I asked her how I was going to get the perky as last time I used the SS tills I wasn't given one, she said she was going home but to show the receipts to the next girl who was coming on and she could get them for me.
What she didn't know is I had been naughty - when I had scanned the perky, I did it with my shopping, not pressing the 'coupon' button first, the till told me to put it in the bagging area, so I did, dropping it in my bag!!
When the next girl came on I asked her for my perky for that transaction, also one for one I did the other day on the SS tills when I did not get one. Reluctantly she gave me the two although she said I wasn't entitled to a No7 one as they weren't being issued then (11/2), I said I didn't get one of the other vouchers either and they were worth more and I knew they were giving out both vouchers anyway at the moment, as their manager had told me and if she didn't want to give me the voucher for that transaction, not to worry as I would ask one of the Team Managers as she had promised me one.
Shop 2
P&P hand cream £10
Time delay gradual tan - 5.86
JF hair spray - 2.44
Used £5 off P&P
£5 perky
£5 wrinkly
£2 hairy
250 points No 7
Got 29p back!! and gained 250 points
I must have put my vouchers in wrong again, as I got the 'need assistance' blooming thing again, grumpy SA came over. Scrutinised the P&P voucher, I said I know it should work, and showed her the hand cream, she peered into my bag to see what I'd got and authorised it. Then I got the 'need assistance' again, I had scanned the perky, she took it off me and put it in the coupon tray, I put my 250 points coupon on as she stood at the side of me, then she looked at the screen and conversation went like this
'Have you used a £5 off No 7?' 'Yes', 'Did you put it in the coupon tray?', 'No, you did', 'where did you get it from, was it the one from the last transaction?' 'Yes' I said 'you just gave me two, there's still just this one in my hand, look'. I said 'I'm not having much luck with this thing today, I don't think it likes me'. 'Its because you are using too many coupons' said she. Red rag to a bull I thought, so I said very politely, in SS's style, 'If Mr B doesn't want us to use these coupons then he shouldn't keep giving them to us and then we wouldn't need to spend so much to get them'. 'I'm not saying that' she said, 'just that its better to go to the proper tills'. 'Well if we all did that, then they wouldn't need people to man these tills and not need so many staff'.
I then thought she was going to have heart failure, she was still with me when I wanted to put the hairy through, 'You can't do that she said, there's only £1.71 to pay', 'Why can't I? I only had the hair spray to use the voucher up, I'm not bothered about losing the few pence', with that I scanned it before she could say anymore. To my surprise, out popped 29p!!
'Have you finished?' she said, 'Yes thanks'. With that she went over to another SA at the proper tills and started chuntering to her, probably about me.
I had gone shopping with a friend who had disappeared, so when I found her, I said 'Here, you can have this voucher and I'll show you what to get with it so it doesn't cost you much' So we went back in to get my friend one of the TD gradual tan moisturisers and went to the till of the SA that the other one had chuntered to. They both glared at me - tough!! :rotfl:0 -

Just been to my local and saw some of the LISTERINE MOUTHWASH range reduced. They are on 3 4 2 at the moment too. So got 3 x bottles for £2.10 and added that to the other stuff I got my total went over just £5.00. I got 20 points for it and 1 x skincare/haircare and 1 x No7. Good or what?0

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've been following the Jade Goody story and it is so sad. I really feel for her and her kiddies. Everytime I think abouit her kids it brings tears to my eyes. I'm sure lots of people up and down the country are in the same boat as Jade, but because Jade is famous everyone gets to hear about what it is really like to suffer with this dreadful disease. It makes me realise my own health problems are miniscule in comparison (spelling?). Hopefully, after seeing what Jade is going through, more women will go for their test now, as opposed to skipping their apt.
Anyone been bootsing today? I wonder if the SS tillspits will be back soon. A SA told me the No7 vouchers were not due out until next week, but HO said to issue them a week earlier. I wonder why that is? Maybe they are trying to boost sales. Is Mr B going to be a victim of the credit cruch?0
