Hello - went into KL early this morning with DD as we were meeting friends (my BstF and her DD2 - my DD's BstF)

Shop 1
JF moisture spr hairspray £2.44 - paid 44p after hairy
Huggies newborn 2 £5.98
Naked starflower lotion £3.91 - paid 1.91 after Sun coupon
Total paid = £6.33 earnt a wrinklie and a perkie 40 pts

Shop 2

Foot cream £5.24
Total paid = £5.68 earnt a winklie and a perkie 20 pts

Kings Lynn still had the P&P body serum up at half price and were overiding it at the till - lovely lady on pharmacy had no7 girl come and overide it but said I could'nt have the GWP - Not to worry I said and she left the pharmacy sa to the rest -

We shopped in KL then headed to the coast, Hunstanton is only about 20 mins away. Had a lovely walk on beach, lunch and then popped into the small boots. Manageress of store was 'nice' when she spotted me looking at the P&P body serum that was still up as reduced, empty boxes out only - 'I have that behind the till counter for you if you like'. Said thanks and I'd be over in a bit. Grabbed a UG spa rituals hair mask and took it to the till. sa put it all through the till and then said '£29.98 to pay' told her the P&P was half price and the manager said ok, I'll have to overide the till - which she did although miffed about it. Then gave the sa my UG 150 pts ac which she scanned fine my £2 pro hair coupon scanned fine and then gave her my p&p acm £5 off and she read the paper over and over and then showed the manageress - who had now had to start serving on the next till due to the que that had built up - manageress read it over and over and looked at the till and then came out with 'You got this in a large store with an extras kiosk and should of used it in that store. You can't use those coupons unless in that store.' To which I replied 'yes you can, CS and advantage card T&C on the internet say that you can' She glared and said 'Oh, so we sent it to you then did we?' Arghhh dragon......
(well that annoyed me as she tried to belittle me infront of a packed shop) so I just calmly told her 'Please feel free to call CS - I don't mind waiting and I don't want you to get into any trouble so it's best to clarify' - but by this time the sa had scanned it and it had gone through. So the dragon said, 'Well, at one time you could not use them in any other store than the one it was printed off in and it doesnt matter now as it's gone through'. 'Oh, lovely' I replied and then handed sa my new perkie = Total to pay £5.13 and one totally p***d off manageress.

But I stood my ground, was polite (over polite) and slayed the dragon :rotfl:


EDIT - Just noticed shop 1 does not tally and dug out receipt to find that the sa took of 2 lots of £2 Boots coupon

(SA at normal till wouldn't try the ACM vouchers with the minis so I said I'd think again as I wanted to spend £5 and then mooched off in a roundabout way to the photo desk where they put them through no problem.)

Used ACM £5 off P&P and perkie. Paid £8.30, got 32 pts, 250 pts voucher inside gwp and another perkie.

Shop was closing or I wouldn't have used No7 till & she wouldn't let me look inside the gwp for the points voucher. Got a perkie but no new wrinklie & hairy. Not too fussed, but it bears out the theory to avoid No7 counters when you're buying stuff!

Forgot about the putting sets which I'd seen upstairs but decided to get via SS tills which, in fact, I didn't use. Should have done No7 gwp there! If anyone wants any, they are on the same side of the shop as the men's fragrance, at the back.

Trafford Centre has loads of purple Olay gwps upstairs near the down escalator but they have cut off all the labels with the bar code on them. I'd noticed this before so had the ones from my previous gwps in my brag book and simply put one, bar code upwards, on top of the box and SA scanned it without blinking.

Also got three free samples from Clarins counter, but no L'Oreal men's anti-fatigue bag or reduced HE or any of the other gwps other people keep finding.

I'm beginning to think that going late in the evening when they are not busy works quite well. I've also decided (sorry, slow learner me) that I am only going to pay with money when the rewards are v great (eg to get gwp as above) or when I get lots of points back as with TS minis etc and get a voucher, or where there are v good mocs, like the sadly long gone £1.50 Mitchum ones. I've now got loads of points which I keep not spending because of all these offers so I am going to resist temptation and use points whenever I need a topup or a meal deal. What else can I spend them on??!! I don't need a camera, I've now got loads of goodies and there are no babies to buy nappies for...

Wish I was witty and funny like SS but hope some of this helps someone.

I had problems with the Cosmopolitan voucher too when I used one last Saturday. The store I went in had been having trouble with their tills after a power cut and assumed that was why it would not work. The supervisor added the points manually for me. I got the heart shaped box GWP (they had run out of the vanity cases). I managed to buy the vanity case GWP on E-Bay. I also used a 250 points on a £30 spend from the acm. It appears that a lot of us had problems with the Cosmopolitan voucher and that it has nothing to do with the store's power cut.

I would love to thank all the lovely ladies (and gentlemen) on here who have introduced me to the wonderful world of Bootsing. At the beginning of January I had £1.86 on my advantage card and now have nearly £50. Boots is the first shop I head for every Saturday when my DH and I go shopping and I used to just walk past it. Didn't know what I was missing.
