I've no idea, it sounds wrong to me. This isn't really an appropriate thread to ask that question though.

Yes, you should be able to view it online. The working day after it was opened, you should be prompted to add it when you log in to internet banking.
Unfortunately their system doesn't seem to work quite right. I wasn't prompted, but following the advice from here, I've found out how to add them.
    Yes, them!
I now have 2 ISA's showing, one a FRISA and one a variable rate. Neither of them show any money in them, although my cheque was presented and cashed 9 days ago.

If it's anything like mine you'll find odd amounts appearing and disappearing from the variable rate one for a few weeks!

My wife and I both arranged in an HBOS branch to transfer our ICESAVE cash ISA funds into a Halifax FRISA, agreed at 4%, and filled out the forms and provided cheques and the ICESAVE reinstatement certificates.

The cheques cleared last week and we have both now received letters from Halifax. Mine is a "Halifax ISA Saver Transfer in receipt" and the accompanying letter states that details of my new account will be forwarded shortly and that I may wish to consider a fixed rate option instead (!).
My wife's letter is a "Halifax ISA saver confirmation of investment" and all the accompanying letter says is to check that the address etc details are correct.

Since neither mentions the 4% fixed rate does anyone know if that will follow in subsequent letters?

    thanks for any feedback

I also got an ISA Saver Confirmation of Investment Certificate like that. A couple of days later they sent another ISA Saver Confirmation of Investment Certificate identical to the previous one, but with the addition of Interest Rate and Maturity Date.

    Stompa,

Thanks for your response. That is very helpful. I will await the follow-up letters and check that the terms are the same as those we agreed with the branch savings advisor.

FWIW the interest rate is shown if you log in to your account online (though I don't recall seeing the maturity date).

    Stompa,

I don't use HBOS online banking - I had assumed that I would need a current account with them before I could use it. Do you know if I can get online access to my ISA without needing to set up an online banking current account?

I'd imagine you'll be able to set it up with just your ISA if you want. Not that it'll be very useful since you can only view the account.

The only reason I already had access was that I used to have one of their credit cards (no other accounts), and online access was still 'live' for some reason.
