Cheap Apple Mac Notebooks

I'd argue you'd get a better PC for the money you'd pay for a Mac. Or the same spec PC for half the price.0

i agree. also wrt service, where else can you get a same day fix on your computer problem... on a Sunday!? Took it in at opening time (11am), turned out I needed a new cd drive, got a call at 4 saying come and get it, all replaced!! Oh and free. I like that security knowing that if anything DID go wrong, I don't have to wait for a UPS bloke to pick it up, send it off to a central depot, so many chances to get lost... Not for me, I am afraid. And as a student I had 3 yr parts + labour warranty included for FREE too!rip off? no... quality yes...

I'll agree very few PC's can beat a Mac on aesthetics.
If you just take into account the hardware and not the name that comes with it, would you pay the same amount?? I dare say no.
If I could afford to spend the amount of money for a Mac I'd get a PC eveytime more bang per buck.0 -
better specc'd does not mean better per se...

can i add longevity into the argument..
you can buy a cheap laptop at £500, but it may only last a year before it's falling apart, or too slow to do anything of use, whereas a mac can last years... and i mean years.... *waves at his 8 year old iBook*0 -
Yeah a friend of mine had my old G4 quicksilver tower which I bought in 2002 (I think, may have been earlier) still going up until very recently.can i add longevity into the argument..

I've got 8yr old computers running linux that are very fast. Windows isnt to a PC what OSX is to a Mac.0

This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
