Halifax can close your account whenever they want for whatever reason they want (except in retaliation for making a complaint/claiming back charges, I believe) and they don't need to tell you why.

Fair enough but i'll be doing it first (tomorrow actually). But I think it was referred to my HSBC i.e. checking my credit report. BUT cos i'm not going to apply for anything else now I guess this won't happen. Plus i'd just tell HSBC I was naive and didn't know applying for 500 accounts was a 'bad thing' - I can act very blonde when I want (or flirt with the ladeeez at my branch which always works cos they won't expect someone like me to chat em up haha!)

Been thinking about going for one of these accounts. Have been reading thru the thread and am a bit confused by the references to multiple accounts, Do they allow an individual to open more than one account?

It seems possible to hold 3 x BoS Reward accounts as well so a max of 6 per customer.

And maybe even 7/8 if you currently hold Halifax and BoS HICAs and they're converted to Reward accounts later this year.
