Savings accounts do not affect your credit file, as the bank is not lending you any money. They are not credit scored, so ignore them.

I would imagine that it's just because you've opened many current accounts recently, and been declined for credit cards.

I would be surprised if you could get a BOS reward account, as the Halifax and BOS accounts are identical, and run off the same system. Only the branding is different.

Hmm, in that case it looks like my only choice is to go in to a branch and appeal the decision. Suppose it is worth a shot, since the deadline of November means I cant wait a few months to reapply. Damn, wish I had found out about this sooner...
