ELQ univeristy by university

Options
I was thinking that it would be helpful to have the ELQ policies of universities listed university by univeristy as it is a pain to contact universities one by one or go through their websites.

I have contacted a number of universities and I post the results when I get them. Please note the responses are from admissions staff and may not be accurate.

The only meaningful response I have is from Brunel saying that they are still thinking about them.

it means that you want to do a course that it equal level or lower than your existing qualification
the governement has withdrawn funding in such circumstances.

    Thanks Clapton.

It is amazing how many admissions department don't understand the question.

What on earth is going on? Some places including Middlesex have not still decided.
  • I must admit this wasn't something I was aware of, but you're right, if would be useful to see some sort of table as this could save people quite a bit of time and effort if it's an important factor to them.

Must be quite frustrating for people with 'poor' (say a 3rd class or a basic pass) degrees who want to go back and try again on a different course. A lot of graduate employers won't even look at those graduates, but they are worse off than new freshers in the sense that it's harder to get funding.

Of course, whether or not people looking to do a second degree should receive any funding is open to debate, I'm purely looking at it from the point of view of the individual. A few years ago when I was in a dead-end job I was considering going back to uni.

That debate belongs in a seperate thread here I am only interested in the guide university by university.

There seems to be no admissions departments willing to disclose even though people must have started to apply for the September start date. I had no idea that university fee departments were that badly run.

I got an email telling me that it is the government who decides and not the universities. I thought that the policy was set in place for fees to be decided up on.
