Kaupthing Edge to ING Transfer trouble

Hi everyone -
I was a Kaupthing Edge customer, who's been transferred over to ING Direct. My ING account has been opened and the KE one closed, but I'm still waiting for the money to turn up in my ING account. I've spoken with ING every day this week and all they can say is that the transfer is yet to go through, with no more information than that. You can understand that I'm starting to get frustrated/concerned.
Has anyone else had trouble with their transfer?
Jon

I got a letter from ING Direct telling me about the transfer and my new account number. When I try to log in to my account it says "The Customer number and Last name you have entered have not been recognised. Please try again." Is the "Customer number" not the same as the "Account number"?0

the customer number is above your account number on your welcome letter enter this then name0

Hi I also had that Customer no and Surname not recognised, I had to phone ING Direct and spent 1/2hr waiting to speak to someone! Not impressed but it was just after the changeover so I suppose I should expect them to be busy. It was all sorted out by a helpful lady but included me having to choose new security numbers and having to do something to my computer to allow me to use their keypad.
What I wanted to ask other customers was if anyone knows if we will get a statement from Kaupthing showing interest earned on that account as all I have on my ING account is a single amount which has been tranferred?0 -
I received the letter welcoming me to ING with a customer and an account number. The problem now is that I'm waiting on a PIN being sent. The first one was totally illegible = it took me 3 or 4 tries to get thru to C/Services at ING and I was then told that I had to be put thru to a Security line before a new PIN could be issued! The customer services agent told me that he had been extremely busy with most of the calls being from ex-Kaupthing Edge custmers.
I'm sweating on the letter now!0 -

The amount that showed in the ING balance was not the same as the last balance showing in the K-E account. The interest wasn't added as a separate item but was just added to the total. Check your last statement from K-E and compare it with what you have now. It may be a higher amount.0 -

I have yet to receive my PIN number. I’ve received the welcome letter and a letter confirming that the fixed bond would remain at the same interest though.
Rang them up and was told to wait till the end of the week.0 -
I transferred the money from my Kaupthing Edge account as soon as the website let me - after the news stories. I then phoned them to close the account. Within a month I got what was left and a letter. Easy peasy.
Good luck to you all without success yet.I've used M.S.E to sort out my debts,my savings, my insurance, my LIFE.
Back on track now so much love to Mr Lewis!:money:0
