    But the baby boomers were born post war. 1946-1950.

    They hit 20 in 66-70 but of course the dominant political culture was still from the pre-war/war babies.

    The baby boomers hit 30 in 76-80 and their influence was rising. We then had 17 years of conservative government whilst the BBs went from 30 to mid/late 40s. They are all pushing 60 or retired now.
    Did they really have their *greatest hour* when they were 47-51?

    I think a nail has been hit on the head and a quote has been blown apart, but hey ho, keep trying.
