I disagree anyone wanting a recession is actualy rejoycing in the pain of others and are more than likely wanting a NWO outcome.;)

    In your head, probably.
You know that some posters on here want a mad max situation/ NWO situation but you dont want to admit it.;)
Wow, not only do you continue to repeat claims about other posters that you have absolutely no proof of (basically because your claims are cobblers), you now claim to know what I think ... though obviously I don't want to admit it :rotfl:

Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.

What about people who will lose their jobs and families who will lose their homes?

Would you enjoy it if that happened to you?

They should up sticks and move to rented. Everything in life is a choice, they took the gamble, it didnt pay off. Most people live beyond their means, why should we help those who cant be bothered to help themselves.

But, I'm also part excited. I have a liking for pure destruction. Most of us would get through it but as a society we've had it easy for 60 years. Maybe we all need a kick up the jacksie and start to appreciate things. It will be like back in the old days when there was the extended family - a family per bedroom. We'd appreciate every bit of food we ate. We'd cook again and not eat processed stuff. Back to roots (and crime...)

there are many more posts like this on the forum

Why do you have to make me prove you WRONG.
  • OP is an idiot. If he/she is glad there is a recession then there is something wrong there. Lots of families in turmoil. Yeah really glad this may be affecting how people who cannot afford to heat their homes or feed their children. Yeah I am really glad this is happening! As my MIL always says "their day will come". Don't look for any sympathy here when that happen!

It is true some on the board want a mad max senario.
Not quite the same thing, is it?

Well I wouldn't mind. So long as I survived...

Scantily clad women and big V8 engines FTW !!

TBH the world is fairly over populated, it would probably do the place some good.
Have a bit of a house keeping session.

Negative equity is self inflicted but I have genuine sympathy for those losing their jobs.

Negative equity is not always self inflicted, unless you mean that without making the decision to buy one cannot enter negative equity.

Ridiculous HPI allied to a deep-rooted cultural desire to own a house means that many people are at risk. What the government does by way of intervention (as well as many factors outside of the gov's control) will determine how many, and so which, people end up in NE.

The corollary of that is that what the government has done up to now by not intervening will also cause people to end up in NE, with ignorance a not unreasonable defence.

    Yes. Exactly.
But politically speaking, it's much easier to attack the savers and prudent folks to fund these types.
If you are sitting comfortably, well then, you can afford to give a little to someone who is struggling.
Come together everybody and help your fellow man !

Savers suffering and complaining are obviously just selfish. ;)

When did it all change for the worse? When did we deicde to abandon the idea of self reliance and responsibility for your own actions?
