No pasta or rice? Could you get away with making the mince into meatballs and having it with spaghetti?

OK I boobed there, but I meant to say tinned spaghetti :o

What about chicken stews or casseroles with vegs and dumplings, a nice homemade pie with stewing beef and onions or chicken and mushrooms.. sausage and mash, sausage casserole with tinned tomatoes and baked beans.. pork loin with jacket potatoes and veg..

Actually now you say that my OH won't eat pasta but he will eat tinned spaghetti..... lol go figure that one..

    STOVIES!

My (German-born) Mum used to make it with sausages, mind.

Mardatha, I agree with some of the others: if your man is so restricted in his choices chuck some recipe books at him, tell him what his budget is and have him decide what the menu should be for a week or two. And he cooks it. Meanwhile, you're relaxing on the sofa eating sweeties where you belong.
