Haggis yes forgot that, will set some snares tonight
Mash he loves so much that he will take a tiny drop although yes it puts his readings up.
Will try Costco mushrooms, never had them PPL. I think I have enough ideas now for a shopping list, going to shops tomorrow. Many thanks !:T:T:T0 -
I would speak to his diabetic nurse Mardartha about the pasta and rice stuation. He should be able to eat them as part of a healthy diet and they shouldn't affect his bm any more than spuds.
Does he eat soup?0 -
Pasta sends his BG sky high, he wont eat it. Potatoes arent so bad because he only has 1 or 2 wee ones. We have tested and tested re pasta even WM and its a def no go. He is ok with porridge which is weird. But so is he.
Soup is terrific and we eat that every day at lunchtime .0 -
Mard. he will be OK with porridge because it is low GI but pasta is not, neither are mashed potatoes. The best potatoes for low GI are lightly cooked in their jackets - he might even be able to have more than two
Another thing to try, instead of spuds, is celeriac, its delicious and nice for a change.
