i want to add something for parenting club members.

i recieved the coupons mailout last week, and inside it was £1 off johnsons and johnsons duo extra care wetwipes. there is no such thing as 'duo' only double packs that are not marked duo.

as we all know, getting j&j on BOGOF is cheaper than the double packs. so after much fuss at the till, the SA let me try and use the coupon on BOGOF wipes instead of the double pack. and so i got two packs of extra care j&j wetwipes for £1.69, saving over £3.50.

does anyone know if the 100points for huggies swim nappies will work on the sample packs of one nappy? i certainly dont need a whole pack of swim nappies, just the occasional one.

  • Oh and for Shannon

It was me who got all the bodyform and like i SAID in my post i have GIVEN away most of them to friends who have girls who need them.

It is not my fault that once purchasing 10 packets you get 10 voucers for 10 more free, then when you get these 10 free, you again get 10 more vouchers etc etc this cycle could go on for ages or until bodyform stop putting vouchers on the packets.

I have done nothing wrong and i'm not being greedy at all freebies are freebies in this day and age.

And for what it's worth sanitary protection cost a fortune.

bet you wouldn't say no if it ws for sonething that you wanted.

i gottta agree on the cost- why do we have to pay vat?!

there is a good offer on the mini mode range of clothes at the moment - there is 25% off the whole range INCLUDING reduced items which makes for some real bargains!! I got a great deal on some half price packs of pyjamas today which worked out at about £1 a pair!!

I went to Boots Mander Centre Wolverhampton today. I used my skin care voucher to get a £5.95 pack of small avene items for 95p. I also got two Boots Botanics wipes at £2.99 BOGOF . I sneakily spotted 4 bottles of avene aftersun hidden behind a notice above the product shelves. There was no indication anywhere as to what should be purchased to get these as a free gift.I offered two a ride in my basket and left the others for the next person, .The SA looked a bit confused when the avene aftersun registered as 00.00 at the tills but said nothing. Result total cost £3.94 ! Many thanks to freebie junkie for the heads up on this one :-)

    welcome! :j

I just thought i would give my opinion, not that its worth really much, he he.

Regarding the bodyform, if you buy these and use your card surely Boots will know something is going on. Dont all the purchases you buy show up somewhere, on some computer at Boots ( maybe head office). Take the guy who bought all the bottles of EI. Wont they query why he bought so many bottles and got so many points. Could they stop him from using there card. Its just a thought, maybe im totally wrong.

When i started reading this thread a few months ago i thought it was pretty fun, finding the bargins and getting extra points.
However, i must admit i do find taking items back to the store that you got for free anyway is just a little greedy.

As for the the person who showed how much bodyform they got for free, why would someone need that much!!! I really do think people are getting so greedy and i really do think that people will be getting caught out soon. Boots are not that daft, they will have records somewhere of the advantage card holders.

I just needed to have my little say, thanks to everyone who posts the offers on here because like i said i do get a buzz when i get extra points and a bargin but dont you think its got a bit 2 much. Greed is an evil thing.

I must admit I totally agree. It's great to get a few freebies but some of these posts are shocking. It is being taken to total extremes in some cases.
  • Well I went back to Boots today with my gym ball and exchanged it for some lovely Td moisturiser, the only reason I had a spare is because my dd wanted one when I got mine but then changed her mind, teenagers!

I must point out as there seems to have been a little bit of controversy from my post this morning. I had been into Boots about 5 times in my life before I found these forums so they have had very little money from me in the past.

Since becoming aquainted with all these lovely freebies and bargains, I have spent a fortune in there, literally!

In fact, I would go so far as to say I have spent more in Boots in these last few months than I have ever spent in any other shop for skincare etc.

I don't go out of my way to get tons of freebies, usually enough for me, my dd and my sister. One exception to this was the original TD deal a few weeks back when I got quite a few TD items in one day as I was so excited about them being free, understandable I think.
I then gave loads away and am left with enough to last me for the next 6 months which is great.

With regards to taking things back, I really don't have a problem with it but I am not an habitual "takerbacker" plus its far too stressful!

I have taken back a few TD items I don't like once I tried them and swopped them for Td items I did like, plus I took the gym ball back, and thats about it.

I am sure I am not alone in doing this.

One last thing, I read this forum every day, its a very enjoyable part of my life and I would hate to think anyone was thinking badly of me.

I also understand that people have different opinions and I respect that :)

The Bodyform is not just a Boots deal. I went to Tesco today & they are selling Bodyform for 98p a pack & they come with the vouchers as well.

If somebody has paid £10 for 10 packets of Bodyform and those 10 packs have got a voucher attached for a free pack, then surely its madness .....not to mention not moneysaving.....not to take those vouchers back and redeem them for a further 10 packs, and therefore another 10...........an infinite offer till the special packs run out.

Its not doing anything illegal and if somebody is doing this and sharing them around, then good luck to them.
  • i dont see the point in getting stroppy over bodyform all us women need stuff like that why not take advantage of an offer that is on for a limited time???? its gonna save money in the long run because they are going to be used not just sat there, maybe they wont be used straight away but definitely needed. fair play i say.

EI on the other hand getting summat like 108 bottles is greedy and thats not thinking about others its just being stupid in my opinion who in their right mind is gonna use all them before the nxt good offer pops up????

As for taking things back if you dont need them then there wasn't the need to buy thats stopping ppl who do use it from getting it. But if there was a problem with stuff like an allergic reaction then fair play i'd take it back.

I'd like to point out this is my own opinion i dont expect ppl to agree with me.

This thread is a god send i've never started buying some xmas presents this early before lol. I'd like to say thank to all the ppl who post their finds and to liverbird for the first post. Great Job keep it up xxxxxx
