    Hi Stfolt

if they come back with a rejection, just put in an offer of £420 then wait until your surveyor report comes back and valuation. I'm sure there will be reasons for you to knock £5k off the original offer if there is work to be done. That way you will complete at £415k anyway.

yeah, i didnt want to pay out on surveys because i can imagine them saying that no they want the full 420k. You never know, i'm at work and my wife text me and said the same thing, that they have taken longer than they normally do.

EA has just phoned and said they are seriously considering the offer, I said I can't see them getting better in this climate and we are ready to move now and that leaves them in a strong position when they are ready to buy.

11 years on and nearly 200k profit they would get on that house if we bought at that price.

EA said that he has said this to them and feels confident ! and strangley this time i do too.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Hope you get the house, and that your wife realises what a sterling fella you are to want her to be happy:D

  • If the house was sold to someone else today for £420k how would you feel? I bet you'd be devastated, if so stop messing around and pay the 420 (of course only if your lower offer is rejected)
If you really want it £5k isn't worth the anguish and stress.
