apparently they can move as quickly as we can, we have just gone pass this months rent pay day (17th), so i guess i will have to give notice now on the 17th march to our landlord. I guess another 4-6 weeks to allow all the other bits and bobs to sort themselves. Will be nice to have a garden that i can call my own for the summer.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
Congratulations. I hope everything goes smoothly for you. A new home for the summer sounds great.0

Success at last, feels good but somehow all the hassle has taken the gloss off for it for me[/quote]
I know how that feels, we've been messed around so badly with our sale/purchase that despite having exchanged I'm feeling very flat about the whole thing. A very stressful 4 months has definately knocked the excitement out of me. Congrats and good luck with your purchase.0 -
Congrats Stolt, glad things worked out for you & family!
Question - you mention EA reducing fees to £1400 to help you...why are you paying a fee to the EA???0 -
i read the first few posts (didnt have time to read the rest) but i say go for the 2nd house because it has a bigger back garden, more/bigger reception rooms.
The big back garden will be MUCH better for your kids!
Nobody cares about front gardens!0 -
thanks nikki yes I hope it doesnt get any worse than what has so far, i suppose i havent had it that bad compared to others, probably my misguided belief that as we were in such a good position that we were going to be hailed as some sort of gods!! lol
savingsteve, we are not paying the fee to the EA, i asked him to reduce his fees by £1400.00 to the vendor so we could get to the magic 420k.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
Gotcha, so the vendor gets the amount they want in their pocket, you get your price and the EA gets a sale fee. Good work!0

yeah wish i'dasked him to drop more now but we were so close to the agreed fee i didnt want to lose it at the last minute. Cant take the credit it was Doozergirl's (on this thread) that suggested it.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0
