Which card would you apply for- Vaquis or Aqua?
I know i may get a biased answer here in this thread, but if someone can give me the view from both sides it would be great
I've never missed a payment on any of my current things, but cause i have only just been put on the electrol role after living here for 2 years I need to start from scratch:(
I think that aquas rates are a little lower then vanquis but I'm not sure
Any ideas are welcome- helpfull ones especially
Cheers folks0 -

I got made redundant at the end of October, I had the payment protection on my account so rang up and told them, all fine was told I would not have to pay the monthly payments etc, HOWEVER, in the last week I have had phone calls EVERY day (even at 8am in the morning), the callers are extremely rude to me, chasing me cos i am late on my payment and owe them £40 - the first guy confirmed the notes said I had been made redundant but this had not registered on his system so he updated his notes and also due to my nan passing away last Tuesday he agreed they would not bother me again - STILL I am receiving calls - i don't need this at the moment, why should i be hassled cos they can't sort their systems out. Anyone know how I can get to speak to a manager to stop this as the advisors calling me seem unable to read notes on my account.PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0

Be very, very, careful.
I have become convinced Vanquis cards are not suitable for most people with poor credit. Yes, it's a credit building card if used correctly - but most of the people who get one do not use it this way, but instead proceed to build up a debt up to - and beyond - the card's limit with devastating consequences for their attempted rehabilitation to the ranks of creditworthiness.0 -

thanks alfred64 - just using my card to re-build my credit rating dont plan on spending all the credit - hopefully in a couple of years i'll be able to get a mainstream0 -
I got my Vanquis card just under a year ago i thought i would get declined but they accepted and gave me a £250 limit, 4th statement they increased it too £500 and two months ago a letter dropped through my door saying id been awarded gold status for managing my account so well, got a nice gold card and a new limit of £1500 :j
i then Applied for a Capital one Classic and was Accepted with £1000 limit i wonder if capital one will shift me up through the cards in time or i will have to me make new applications, eg the progress card +0 -
You will need to apply. Capital One do not move people up like that. Well done on managing your cards so well.0
