You're obviously still fretting about the IB situation (and I don't blame you, I would be too, the whole situation is enough to cause anxiety and depression in itself, and it's as if the onus is now on you to have to prove just how "sick" you are).Get as much info as you can - forewarned is forearmed.

You are right. Im so upset and worried about it and I haven't even been given a date yet. I keep running to the letterbox every day to see if there's a letter. Im worried about how it will be on the day and, of course, what the outcome will be. You are also right about how the onus is on me to prove how bad I am. Its a good idea to have things written down because I won't be in any fit state on the actual day. So I apologise if anyone thinks that I keep going on about it, its just that its constantly on my mind.

I will read through your links and perhaps contact Mind and see what they say. Thank you so much for going to so much trouble. xxx:hello:

Hi BeachBeth sorry to hear that things are so stressful right now. I hope you are able to get some support from MIND or CAB.

Perhaps you could start keeping a diary of how you are on a daily basis and get your OH to do one from his point of view.

I think this is a really good ideafor BeachBeth and anyone else in similar situation.

On my GP's suggestion, I keep a daily mood record (I've set it up in an MS Excel doc and it shows as a graph over the month - if anyone wants a copy of this doc for themselves let me know and I'll email it to you). I'm in the process of coming off meds - have been doing it gradually over 9 months and have gone from the highest daily dose of ADs and mood stabilisers to the minimal possible dose every 2 days and the mood record has been really useful to see if there has been any difference in mood levels as I've decreased the dosage. It's also good to look back when you're having a bad day and remind yourself that you do also have good days, as it's so easy to forget that when things are bad.

For BB, a mood record would be a useful way of showing how events affect your mood, and how unpredictable the nature of your illness is, which is what makes working so difficult. I would give your GP a copy of it every time you see him too.
