Hope everyone is ok this morning. Lovely and sunny and my shopping was delivered late from Sainsburys which means that they gave me a £10 voucher for my next shop!:T

    Afternoon all,

Not posted here for a while, going through phase at the moment where I just can't get enough sleep-only awake for a few hours a day, this in itself is making me feel down, feel like a useless human being, not contributing anything to life and just sleeping, feel especially bad as I was feeling really determined to get better before this slump and now feel as if I'm slipping.

Is it normal to sleep this much, wake up still feeling tired, had a thought, can you sleep too much? eg end up feeling more tired?

    Hi,

Yes you can sleep too much and feel tired afterwards, it's the quality of sleep your having maybe? Instead of having 30 minutes brilliant sleep your maybe having 3-4 hours of rubbish sleep where your not really asleep and your brain is still active?

I sleep 3-4 hours a night and wake up having a twitching eye all day and then have 30 minutes in the afternoon and my eye stops twitching! Mad!

    I hope your ok

When I first had depression I slept a lot too. I think it had something to do with my body getting used to the antidepressants too. I would have lots of naps and still feel tired. Being anxious and stressed makes you feel very tired on its own though. I know in the past if I'd had an emotional day (wedding/funeral etc) that I would feel extra tired the next day. So if you're having a hard time at the moment then I would say it is normal to sleep more. If you are worried though, please see your doctor because only he/she knows your medical history and can advise.

Yes I can relate to that as I used to sleep such a lot in the afternoon and funnily enough still sleep at night without waking up. My Specialist altered my medication as it was always making me feel very sleepy and drowsy after midday and now I dont sleep much in the afternoons anymore. If you are worried like Beachbeth says go and see your GP only they know you and the meds you are taking and can advise you.I do have the odd afternoon of sleeping for 2 hours but not as much as I had a while back.

    Good Luck

    Hello. :)

    Remember me? :rotfl:

    How's it going?

Welcome to all the new posters. My name is Mouse. Okay, not my real name but it's now a name most people online call me by. I blame Sam. He started it. :rotfl:

I'm still exhausted and seem to be forgetting that I have glandular fever so haven't been resting and now it's catching up with me.

I'm really loving it down here in Somerset.Sam and I went and had lunch out the other day, and you all know how much I struggle with food but I managed it and it was enjoyable. :)

    I hope you're all doing okay. :)

    xx
