You need to add www. to the start of that link shilcor.
Didn't think I needed to as most browsers automatically add the http:// to the start if you type a link like that but I've added it anyway as these forums don't appear to add it automatically when you click on the link. There's no www needed, just http://thespringers.me.uk as I own that whole domain and everything underneath it. I just tested the link in both Firefox and IE and it seems to work fine.

  • That is great Roger, really kind of you. I will look forward to hearing from you again. In the meantime many thanks for the spreadsheet (link worked fine). I will get myself a coffee and have a look. Cheers! Jim

Glad to help - I used to write quite a few techie docs before I retired from my job in IT support so doing this kind of stuff helps to keep the grey matter in working order for a bit longer :) I've got about half the guide written so might have it finished tomorrow wife/shopping permitting :D

    Hi

I am trying to get all my 0870 and 0845 numbers routed via 18185 at all times rather than primus as my orchid is set up to now.

The excel tables look very complicated and i have done manual input in the past. Could anyone assist with what i need to enter into my phone to do this. Can you also say if i need to wait to hear any clicks or anything before i put down the phone etc?

Just to add that primus is my line provider and have tried *###0845#3333#13# and *###0845#3333#14# for each but these dont work

    Thanks

    Andy

    Hi Andy,
You are putting two entries for 0845 numbers in your Routing Code Table (in locations 13 and 14) - do you really mean to do that? Also, do you have an accurate record of what is currently in your Routing Code Table as the locations you are using (13 and 14) are 080 and 0844 in the Kevin Spreadsheet. Without knowing what has been used to configure your dialler I can't be precise about what locations you should use.
They should work assuming that 18185 is in location 3 of your carrier code table so you need to confirm that. Also, you need to know where the 0845 and 0870 entries are in your Routing Code Table (In the V9 spreadsheet they are in locations 15 and 16 respectively). Although I don't use Kevin's spreadsheet myself I can also see that in the V9 version, Carrier Code Table entry 3 is in fact 1280 which means "Carrier Pre-Select Override" so if you were still using BT as your line provider it would drop through to that but I assume it's dropping through to Primus instead. The V9 spreadsheet has 18185 in location 1 of the Carrier Code Table so have you tried the following :-

    *###0845#3111#15#
    *###0870#3111#16#

You might need to re-enter locations 13 and 14 if you have used those in error but as I said, I don't know the contents of your Routing Code Table if it's different from the Kevin V9 spreadsheet. I'm still working on my manual programming guide and hope to have it finished soon but will try and help if you can give me more details of your table contents.
When manually programming using a phone handset, you don't need to wait for any clicks/beeps after entering the command string, just give it a second or so and then hang up.

  • Thanks for reply

I used 13 and 14 in the routing table as i have a print out of my last working one which shows 0845 and 0870 were assigned to these numbers (as in *###0845#3333#13# and *###0845#3333#14# for each). I have never used an of Kevin's spreadsheet material.

If i have already used 13 & 14 do i need to wipe them first or can i just enter a new one over the top?.

Or can i just try a new number higher up the table i haven't used or would this confuse it?

You must overwrite those two Routing Codes so, assuming 18185 is Carrier Code 1 in your program:

    *###0845#3111#13#
    *###0870#3111#14#

I've now written a Manual Programming Guide for the V4 Dialler which I hope will be useful to some of you. It is provided and supported on a "best can do" basis so you download it and follow it at your own risk. It should be considered as a "work in progress" and will be tweaked as and when I find that updates are appropriate. When changes are made, the document history section at the end will be updated so remember to check back and look at this post from time to time for news of any updates.

My thanks to HEINZ for his comments and input while the guide was being created.

The guide can be downloaded from here:-

Good point - that's the one clock I forget to change although I do update it every now and again to allow for "drift" as I'm not sure how well it keeps time.
