I thought some of the regulars might appreciate this, as it's always a joy to hear about rude and abusive Ryanair Staff

Is it just me, or are Ryanair now charging a whopping £28 to check in baggage now?!
and on another note, I was wondering why Ryanair charge £49 taxes and fees for a return flight, Stansted to Palma de Mallorca, whereas Easyjet on exactly the same route and date charge only £14 taxes and fees. - infact they only charge £48 including their fare!!0 -

Im just wondering why you are wondering and not just booking Easy Jet.0 -
its not taxes but, as you make clear, taxes and fees0

They divide them up if you hover over them and fees are only £5.75 of the total amount which cover insurance and wheelchair use (for everyone!!)
the taxes ARE more on Ryanair than on other airlines. (so they make out)
edit: sorry, you're quite right.. actuals are £44.96 taxes and fees, £11.38 insurance and wheelchair levy.
still, makes you wonder why easyjet only charge £14 total taxes & fees.
(I'm sure it £5.75 when I looked earlier.. !)0 -
And every airline puts different things in the "fees" bit so it's not valid to compare the breakdown of prices -only look at the overall total.0
-
TBH, who cares - surely all thats important is the total cost0

The only tax is the Government dictated APD. The rest are fees.0
