  • rosepink nice to see you cheery tonight! when the list says 'clean or wash windows' it means the inside not the outside!!!! well thats how I understand it! I think i will pass on your supper thanks!!!! lOL!!
    toots xx
I know its inside! To reach the window one has to streeeettttcccchhhhhh till one is in pain, in the summer I do open it but only as a last resort! Could not possibly clean it (and before any one mentions stepladders, how shall I put this..get lost?)
All the other windows are that double glazing where you have the normal window and then a couple of inches into the room is another window with slidey bits. Great if you want windows permanently covered in condensation and impossible to clean or see out of. So won't be cleaning them either. :wall:
I am so  tonight. Was really mean to DH earlier for no reason and feel guilty. He was being a bit annoying, but I completely overreacted. Am so worn out I don't know how I'm going to go to work tomorrow. I think that's why I'm so  At least I've stopped crying! I think I need to make it up to him:kisses3: It's not his fault I feel like killing everyone who dares to come anywhere near me.
Going to have an early night when Whitechapel has finished

Soweeeee, I'm domestically goddessing at the mo, listening to Radio 4 and becoming very well informed about current affairs.

Plus I'm going to put my nightie on in a mo and drink an alcoholic refreshment as it seems apt at the mo.

I was going to concentrate on the other kitchen which does not used much becuase we had 2 windows fitted in there last week so a lot of stuff had been moved / pulled out - revealing a LOT of dirt. But when I was away at my sisters for the weekend dh cleaned everything and put it all back:eek:

Then I remarked how little time it had took me to get the main kitchen sorted and pondered why the floor didn't need swept and mopped - dh had done that at the weekend too:eek:

Feeling really pleaed with myself (and dh - but don't tell him):D :D:D

I think driving home in the torrential rain was as bad as the snow last week! It hasn't stopped all day and the children were climbing the walls by hometime!!

melliec, metrochick, greenandthrifty and pitlanepiglet - welcome (to the madhouse!!)

ladybird - welcome and congrats on Isabella's arrival

    nicki - hugs for DD
toots - well done for being so lovely and neighbourly :T :A

I have sorted the post and put a load of papers in the recycling box - can't fly in the kitchen cos Whitechapel is on!!

Working today, and although no meeting after, had to do the halftermly work reviews for all the children I teach, so home late.

DS1 and 2 had a massive row just as I was serving dinner, which meant I had a chance to destress by yelling at them both - you know, Lecture 73, the one that starts with 'You are not behaving like that in MY house...':D

DD tried out her Christmas present smoothie maker, and we have no fruit left.

Hugs to all the poorly ones, especially G&B's LO and Nicki's DD.

Hugs also to rosepink - go and give him a hug!!

    Toots - You're an :A!

I'll get on with the kitchen and probably the livingroom tomorrow.

(PS I washed up... that's the flying bit.)

Think I'm going to call it day now ladies- was shattered this morning when I went to bed late last night, and I've got to get up early so I can take my car in. Will have to leave around 8am to get there as my garage isn't exactly local (the one my parents and coincidentally OH used before I had my car).

    Night night all,

  • Well I've done something, which is a first, I've been trying to achieve something for weeks and now I've finally started :j

I have to say that I LOVE my new steam cleaner - the cooker, its glass top, the tiles behind and the extractor fan hood were revolting and covered in grease. I've been stardropping them for the last week but without making any real impact but the steam cleaner has cut through the gunk like nothing I've seen before. I'm not sure how OS it is - but it's great! Still a long way to go, I've only got down as far as the grill and still have the oven to go (inside and out) but at least I've made some progress.

I also found one of the work surfaces that I hadn't seen in a long time.

    Off to bed now!
