    Hi!!

Im new - as youl can tell and believe its customary to psot a christmas tree!! so here it is!! :xmastree:

Im so glad I found this thread and hats off to all of you - you manage so much and do such a terrific job of it all!!

You dont know me, so to give you a bit of background; Im 28, single mum to a 7 year old boy and work full time and been trying to find some advice on how to fit all my housework into a a week!!! Especially around parenting and working!!

I have an other half, but we dont live together - so no help with the chores!!

Im probably a bit late to join in this week - but as I gutted my kitchen yesterday i have done most of Monday already!! :j

I havent washed the windows or did the binbag dance, but to be fair, i didnt know what that was until about 10 mins ago!!

Im going to try and keep up for the rest of the week now though if thats ok and use you terrific ladies as my inspiration which i have been looking for, for so long!!

    Thanks :T

I thought it might blow them up, you know with the bicarb and everything. Don't nasty boys give seagulls bicarb in bread and then watch them explode in the air.:o

Managed to get quite a bit done while making a cup of yogi tea & my hot water bottles... hoovered the whole of the ground floor and most of the stairs (I'll do the rest from the top), dusted the living room, hall, stairs and bits of the kitchen (thanks to whoever mentioned feather dusters last week... I got mine out as a result and it's really speeded the whole process up!

Welcome Jo... our meeter & greeter Toots will be along to welcome you and send you a PM with everything you need to know. There's no such thing as too late to join in, just as long as you don't try to catch up. So consider your kitchen done at the weekend, and pick up from Tuesday. Aim for level 1 in your first week, and gradually build up. You'll see the difference in no time, and eventually you'll be able to achieve as much as those on the star list in as little time (mind you, Pigpen's had to get toots to give us stars in order to persuade us to do this... normally there's a lot less action... ). Once you're doing the lists regularly, a Level 3 clean can be done in an hour or even less!

Toots - looks like everyone except you and me has gone to bed... and I'm off imminently.

I may not get a chance to catch up tomorrow if I end up going into the office, as I have a course (Understanding Finance in Schools... fascinating  ) tomorrow evening. Hope it goes well for everyone.

LL - hope you're resting in preparation for Friday!

SS - no dramas/crises anymore... we're all working FAR too hard to get our stars... no time for chat now!

Triker - the bicarb is cooked, so I can't imagine it would be a problem. But better safe than sorry...
  • welcome jo - I will semd you a message in a mo!

supergirl hiya babes - i was wondering where you were lurking!!

triker stop it! you made me choke on my coffee!!!

    toots xx
ETA well greenbee 2 stars for you!!!!
take care on the roads tomorrow if you go!
    night night xx
    Peace will be mine

    Made lentil and bacon soup.

Loaf ready to go in BM for morning.

    2 Banana loaves made.

DD1 shouted at for being obnoxious.....again.

    Hobnobs put in biscuit tin.

    DW loaded again.

    Sink disinfected.

    Kitchen bin emptied and disinfected.

    Floor swept.

    Worktops wiped.

    BM wiped down.

Placed comfy fleece, which I ruined in the dryer, on bench for puddy cat. So she's got a soft bed thang.:D
