Spoilt moggy... did she distract you when you were doing the laundry?
No I melted the lovely fleece, and couldn't quite bring myself to get rid, but had the brainwave to put it out for her.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Thank you
Jackie I see Greenbee has beaten me to this! Sorry I have been catching up with my mate and the goggle box (Whitechapel very cheery viewing!). If it is a variable DD then they can change the amount. If it's normally a regular amount and then changes eg gas bill increasing after the annual review then provided they inform you in writing at least 14 days in advance they can then take the revised amount.
I always view a DD aas a blank cheque signed by you. ie you agree to pay company X amount they tell you how much and how often.
If you don't agree with the changed amount then you can cancel the DD with the bank which will stop them taking the funds. If you choose this option though they may make additional charges for alternate payment methods, also if it's a life policy or savings policy you may cancel the policy by cancelling the DD so check the small print in these instances.

Hi like a lot of people I use my mp3 player to help me get through the housework. I have a radio on mine and tuned into Classic FM one day by mistake. A track called The Flight of the Bumble Bee was on as I was cleaning the bathroom. It was only on a minute but It made me work really fast indeed. I now listen to a tune called the Sorcerers Apprentice, Walt Disney made a cartoon with it with Mickey Mouse. I put that on when doing the dishes and I'm done in no time, maybe I hould get a pointed whitches hat! Can any classical fans think of anymore rousing tunes, like say The Dambusters to hang the washing out?”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Izzy whizzy, let's get busy! Not much time to read posts, but will try and catch up later.
ETA: ALL Done! With time to spare, only trouble is we've had no dinner yet. Oops! Still I might muster up the courage to do extra extras later and iron the duvet cover that keep calling out 'I'm still here' to me everytime I pass.Mortgage

Morning everyone
Greenbee - yes, ageism is illegal but it seems recruiters (agencies particularly) are using phrases like "wouldn't fit in with the culture" etc.And no, I'm not on Linkedin - yet! Well done you for employing older ones. If you want to watch it, it's on C4 catchup
XX_Jo - welcome
Bit of a wild and windy night. Got woken up several times by the sound of the wind rattling around the place and the rain. Seems there's a bit of flooding out there but fortunately not on my route (or at least they've not mentioned it on the travel news yet!), And it's not raining or freezing so that's good.
I'll focus on Piggers' living room list this evening when I get home. I also need to:- Respond to emails
- Post off cheques
- Send invoice
- Fill in street collection form and email off
