AandW's mum - could I ask a banking question please? Is it OK for a company to increase your direct debit without your permission? They sent us a letter telling us of the increase, and we ontacted them and said no, but they still increased it anyway??

    Thank you

If you're on a fixed direct debit contract (e.g. magazine subscription), then no. If you're on a variable direct debit (e.g. telephone, gas, electricty, metered water, variable rate mortgage), then yes, as that's the contract you signed up to.

Tooth fairy tonight then?? :rotfl: :rotfl:

How much is a tooth worth these days??

Two chocolate coins according to my 5yo (one each for him and his little brother apparently :rotfl: ). Good job I bought 8 bags reduced to 25p each in Aldi.

It isn't that far for me, (Leics end of the A50) just not had time to go yet. I want some fabric to re-cover the late victorian chaise longue I got from e-bay last year. Need to decide on bedroom colours first though.

Just waiting for 7 for boys bedtime then I need to hoover, feed the animals and sort stuff for the morning.

Hugs for Denise, Nickis DD, Trikers DD, GnBs DD and anyone else who needs them.

I have had avery non-productive afternoon by accident!

I was just about to go to the post office whent he door bell went and there was a very elderly lady there - she had come to the wrong door but couldnt remember the name of the people she was looking for so I couldnt help her with the right address. then she explained that she lived in the next street and had locked herself out and had come looking for these people she knew to get help. She was in a right state so I took her in and phoned the locksmith for her. he said he would be about an hour which was ok - I made her a cup of tea and she began to relax. we chatted for an hour and then she was a getting agitated about keeping me back - anyway it turned out that her daughter teaches at a school about 10 miles away and she had an extra key but she didnt want to tell her as the daughter has been on about her going into a home!!! The locksmith phoned back at 4.20 to say he had broken down and was waiting for the RAC:eek: Well she had to give in and we phoned the school only to find that her daughter was in a training meeting and wouldnt be here until 5.30! She did arrive abot 5.40 so that was 3 hours chatting to this lady - I am worn out and have got nothing done on my list!!!
The lady phoned from her own home to say thanks and said that her daughter wasnt too cross so that was good.

Oh dear, Monday and I am already behind.

I have cleared the small area on the kitchen bench I needed to prep dinner.DH has thrown out my empty washing up liquid bottle that I was going to make up my stardrops and vinegar mix, so instead of flying, I am in a strop!

Have emptied and cleaned out bins yesterday :) Guess that'll have to do tonight, although I am hoping for a snow day tomorrow (then I only do about 2 hours work at school - feeding the animals)
