I like these people better than Dunelm - they send huge great fabric samples for free, and they are fairly close to Juliejim I think. They are on my planned list of outings when I get time.

    Evening all :hello:

I've tried to catch up with the thread but can't remember anything other than maybe someone completing todays list? I'm pretty sure it wasn't Mudbath though :p

Had an early start today - DD slept in my bed last night as she was in so much pain and couldn't speak due to her sore throat and at 6am she woke me up struggling to breathe properly (she wasn't turning blue or anything, just in alot of pain when breathing) & unable to swallow as her tonsils were nearly meeting so I phoned the doctors (after asking my mums advice as I wasn't sure whether to phone the docs or an ambulance) and the out-of-hours doctor said take her to the hospital. Got her to the hospital at 7.30 and finally got in to see a doctor about 9.30  Who said that its not tonsilitus as she's not got any pus so it must be viral so he's given us ibroufen and some local anistetic type spray and said she could go to school :mad: She's not going. As the medicine wears off she gets all floppy and her tonsils swell up so it hurts to breathe to the point of her crying when I try to look down her throat so I'm not taking her in at all until she's got this out her system. So I've taken the week off, and its half-term next week so I have 2 weeks to do paperwork (catch up on a months OU work and complete as many of the units for my NVQ as I can), I can tell she's not well though, she's really quiet (usually she'd talk the hind leg off a donkey!) and its taken her 30 minutes to eat a jelly that would usually disappear in about 30 seconds!

So flying today has been :
    • tidy kitchen
    • tidy livingroom
    • Run to Co-op (while my brother babysat) to grab some soft buns and chicken soup.
    • Make up 3 lots of jelly
    • Cleaned out the fridge - no science projects but a couple of close calls of the fruit & eggs variety :o
    • shift money around.
I really haven't got the energy to do proper flying so I'm just going try and stay on top of things. I've got a niggling sore throat and the last thing I want is for it to hit me as bad as its hit DD.

    Catch you later

  • AandW's mum - could I ask a banking question please? Is it OK for a company to increase your direct debit without your permission? They sent us a letter telling us of the increase, and we ontacted them and said no, but they still increased it anyway??

    Thank you

    Morning all.

Had terrible toothache last night. OH rang dentist and he's seeing me at 12 today. I'm drugged up to the max as I've got to toddle off to work.

We are going to see Billy Connolly tonight - hope I'm going to be able to go.

Working on my own little list this week - last night I finally got business accounts finished, in amongst crying because of toothache, and will get them in the post on the way to work this morning. Have washing to hang out and then will go to work and try to swap lunch hours with someone. Wish me luck.

Viral infection, can go to school!!!!!!!!! With advise like this from a doctor no wonder so many viruses are constantly going round:eek:
:grouphug:Big hug for DD. I suffered really badly with tonsils until I was 15. If your not happy though go to see your regular DR especially if she has regular infections. May need to see ENT and get rid of the little blighters
