    Morning all,

Got a text from LL last night saying thank you for the card, that it was a lovely surprise and her husband had taken it into her last night. She hopes to be home on Tuesday.

Still in pjs and haven't had breakfast yet, so will be off to forage for food in a bit. Talking of food though, the Jamaican ginger cake I made for OH was a huge success. He loved it, and I thought it was pretty tasty too. Apparently they are best eaten a day or two after baking as they go a bit stickier and the flavour comes out more, but it was nice and light yesterday. Will definitely be making that one again cos I've got all of the ingredients in stock most of the time anyway, and it's quick and easy to make.

Plans for the day include stripping the bed and changing the sheets so I can get my last star, making soup and going for a walk with OH provided the weather is ok - was beautiful sunshine here yesterday, but it looks grey and cold out there at the moment. Fingers crossed the sun will come out later. I do need to clean out my car at some point, but may wait until the weather is a bit better over the half term week when OH is at work.

    Will catch up again later,

    sexymouse xx

Had my soak in the bath. Oh, and I finished Agatha Christie's Nemesis whilst in there. I can now report that of the two Nemesis TV programmes, the Joan Hickson one follows the book far more faithfully than the Geraldine McEwan one. Though they both have taken a bit of a liberty here and there.

    Morning All

Been up for ages as usual - went out for a couple of hours last night while the kids went across to my mates' house.

DH has just gone to take my parents to the airport so I suppose I'd better make a start.

    HHC 10.45 - 11.15 anyone?

  • :j :j :j Wahay!! All done except HHfiling from the weekend list

and I really CBA. I'm all buffed and polished, had to do the last bits of ironing with my hair colour and face pack on - now there's a sight to behold!

Just spoke to the family and they're sitting waiting cap in hand for their lift to the Heathrow - only another 32 hours and they'll be HERE!! :D It's such a strange feeling waiting for people to arrive, I'll be going to bed shortly and work all day tomorrow then bed again tomorrow night, all in the time it takes for them to get here. It's such a looong, long way.

Anyway I'll wait with baited breathe for tomorrow's list, as I'll still be looking for things to do.
