Well it's kicked off here, police were called and everything, party cross the way got well out of hand. The Dad got a kicking and ambulance arrived. Eeeeh better than saturday night tv, anyway, I went out in my jimjams and fluffy pink slippers, for some reason I don't think any of the intoxicated juveniles were in the slightest bit intimidated.:rotfl:DFW Nerd 267. Soappie thanks for sharing the story of your Dad. You will be pleased to know that I have had a banana
I know my post would have sounded mad to 'normal' people but to you all it is normal
Anyway 'normal' is overrated and boring :rotfl:
Whilst eating it I sat watching 100 greatest love songs but then started to get melancholy so thought I'd better switch off! One of my faves is Wind Beneath my Wings.
Right I am going to bed, alarm is not being set. If we wake up in time to get to Sunday school we will go, if not we won't.
Night everyone and thanks for listening. xxOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Hopefully not, we're just watching out that the [STRIKE]scrotes[/STRIKE] young drunken males don't come back and start again. It wasn't targetted at us, it was at a party across from us but they were asked about 3 times by OH to keep the noise down as it was cclearly getting out of hand. Anyway we'll see what happens.
Happy valentines.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Toots - thanks for the offer but I will check with my mate who uses the exact shade/brand as me (we both thought each other still natural LOL) so when I have spoken to her I'll let you know. It's still on the Garnier website so not discontinued...
Been for a lovely dinner (at DS's GF's) - very very proud of DD who can be a bit picky and has eaten things she would refuse at home without a murmur...personally my policy is to shut up and let them get on with it...or starve - they have to learn. She ate parma ham - mind you she ate frog's legs in France so her pickyness is selective methinks (tastes like chicken apparently) and carefully drank...inc water so as not to embarrass/offend.
DS bought GF a large card (card warehouse) DS received a large card (card warehouse) so pleased told DS that original choice was not good enough and he needed to up the ante :rotfl: GF thrilled with ring (phew) and DS received silver chain. Have NOT mentioned that I bought his dad a silver chain early in our relationship...it was a really good Figaro chain too...
handmade choccies went down well - and a good choice as they had all three wines - red/white/rose and limoncello ...so did not need additional contributions from self...
I could quite easily cope with them two hitching up ...am on utterly same wavelength as her parents and we are of a similar age too...
hope it's later rather than sooner though if it is to be. She's a lovely girl, gets on with my DD too...but at 15and 13 they are still so young.
Apparently my colour looks good - I got 'Have you coloured your hair?' which means they think I have but are not certain so not too outrageous...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

aww yeah - it was that - the lovely thing is that we can get on so well - a real bonus - you can never have too many friends!
Pigpen - I bought a pack of muslin squares for my jamming and I won't use them all (proper 'baby' ones from Boots) - would DS's GF like half the pack? - I can pop them in the post this week no sweat...I only wanted them for marmalade making...
and I love knitting baby stuff...what's she need? What size?
cos they are little and I'm a slow knitter...:rotfl:
I got a pattern for a baby cardi I have knitted before...
(and I never cook saturdays because USUALLY they both go to their dad's - neither went today though...growing up and making choices...)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning All
Hope everyone's well and happy this morning.
AnWsMum I hope your feeling has subsided now, and the reason for it becomes clear, and that the reason isn't unpleasant. I know exactly what you mean, and used to get that a lot. It's not good is it. Hope it resolves soon. (((hugs)))
Soappie that's some story about your Dad. I was imagining how upset and panicked you must have felt trying to find bananas in that situation. Blimey, that must have been terrible. Glad your Pa recovered.
I get a bit psychic (ish) at times too.... nothing useful like lottery numbers tho!
I had a good one recently when I was just about to go to sleep and heard ( in my head ) my bother's voice really loudly calling my name. I checked the time, 10.20pm, and thought 'hmmmmm, I'll bet SIL has gone into labour' I didn't hear from them for 2 days. But, I was right, she'd started her contractions at 10ish on the night that I'd heard his voice. I thought it was amazing. He didn't - but then, he wouldn't :rotfl: he's such a cynic.
I love those things. They remind me that the world is constructed in ways we can't understand. Love it!!!
Pigpen sorry things are tricky for DS's GF. I'm sure we could come up with a rescue package between us if you let us know what she needs. Is she really picky about second hand stuff? I know lots of people are, particularly with their first baby?
Right... best make some breakfast for the brood.
ETA : why don't I have children that sleep late in the mornings?? :rolleyes:MMSSB Club Founder Member
