  • Hi everyone

So sorry not to have posted the last few days -

Tristan deteriorated a little and his family persuaded him to have the op he was sure he didn't want. I knew better than to try and persuade him, but I did suggest he thought about it carefully.

Anyway, after 3 hrs of surgery, he finally comes out and when he comes round is told that nothing has changed, the op didn't work as they couldn't do what they had planned to do.

Tristan is furious and as soon as he was up to it, yelled at everyone in ear shot. Now he is simmering and part of his simmering is to NOT contact me.

So I have had nothing but silence for 2or 3 days now, my only news coming via our mutual friend who says he is still pi**ed off with the world and still feeling really rough.

I know he isn't angry with me, it's the cancer and the situation he is railing at but it's easy to cut me off as I am so far away.

Anyway, I know he will be back in contact soon, I just feel sad that time is going by and we aren't talking.

So - I hope everyone here is well and happy and thank you again for all your continued prayers and good thoughts.

    Diva.x

Diva - Sorry to hear of Tristram it must be hard for you, but you have the right spirit and good sense not to take it personally ((hugs)). I'm sure he will come round and realise the family are only trying to do the best for him.

I have had a very busy day and pretty much caught up on what I missed during the week. I decided not to start the lounge all over again today, so will do a quick blitz late tomorrow as my one room to receive a bit of attention.

Have to say a big YAY for microfibre cloths, they really make cleaning the kitchen and bathroom a doddle. They really pick up the dirt and wetness instead of smearing it around and leave everything sparkling. I'll never faff around with sponges and J-cloths ever again.

So my list for the week now looks like this

Monday - Kitchen and Dining room (All Done)
    Level One
    Level Two
    Level Three
    Extras

Tuesday - Living room, hall and stairs! (All Done)
    Level One
    Level Two
    Level Three
    Extras

Wednesday - Master messroom and landing (All Done)
    Level One
    Level Two
    Level Three
    Extras

Thursday - Spare room All Done
    Level One
    Level Two
    Level Three
    Extras

Friday!! - Bathroom and study! Nearly there waiting til OH out of study
    Level One
    Level Two
declutter the pc desk and give it a wipe
    Level Three
    Wipe any chairs/sofas/seats etc
    Extras

Weekend list.. For everyone in the family to share!
    HHI

    Morning All

    Happy Valentine's Day:smileyhea

I've caught up with the thread now and had breakfast.

Ended up bringing the hamster home from school yesterday as the teacher had forgotten to ask the children who wanted to take it home. I've had a bouquet of flowers for Valentine's day and a card.

    Plan for today is:

    Some HHCs
    MOT 10.15 - DH's car
    Collect DD's boots
    Get petrol
    Buy birthday cards
Go to Argos - when I've decided what I want!

Hope everyone's feeling better today - Serena and nicki's DDs' throats sound awful.

    Happy hols Jo and Dusty

    Hugs to all

  • Morning all,

Hugs Diva, it must be hard not hearing, but at least you understand, I hope he can bring himself to speak to you all soon x :A

Soappie, as I said, I would take meter readings, but as Toots says, over time - weekends when you are there and can check levels are an ideal comparison - then during the week when you're not. Maybe even tell DS so he can physically check himself and so you don't feel underhand? Then I would put the rent up (well, I would do that anyway, but as you say, you like to have evidence... :D )

Sexy, what a nice thing to do, thank you x, and I'm sure Lady L will love it when she gets back...

Well, I have been on the carbon trust website for the last hour and a half working out what savings we would need to make to replace the two boilers in our club with some energy efficient ones to get the interest free loan and make them pay for themselves... Soappie, you think your bills are high, have ours for the club here - average £550pm Electric and £250pm gas    but obviously that is commercial... our boilers are ancient, so anything over a 20% saving on energy would be brilliant and we can get the loan to replace them (and the savings cover the cost... :) ) Greenbee - any ideas on a good commercial boiler or advice you think we might need?

  • Good morning! I've been up for nearly an hour - tidied up all 3 of my boards (not much needed doing overnight :D ).

I didn't get back on here to post my list yesterday evening, as DH whisked me out to the cinema and for a meal afterwards :kisses3: We met 22 years ago today, and due to DD's hectic social whirl, we can't go out tonight, so a day early was fine :kisses2:

I'll post what I did next.

Have a great day, Penny. x

    Morning folks

Happy Valentine's Day to you all, hugs and kisses all round.

Up early to start blitzing the house, as I have done very little flying this week.

Cold and frosty outside, cats fed.

    Take care

Hi to the newbies, and extra hugs for any one who needs them.

I have to order a booklet from DCSF for a course I'm doing the Friday after half-term - Early Literacy Support - and I can't find my copy of the email to tell me what I've got to order. It was sent to the school email not mine so I'd only got a hard copy - don't know whether I've left it at school - I also said I'd order one for the colleague who's coming with me. If I don't order it this week it won't be here in time - HELP!
