Hello
I've been going to ww for the past few weeks, trying to follow the points and am feeling like a bit of a failure. I was going with friends, but they've all dropped out.
So I'm hoping to join in here and refocus.
My main problem/issue is I have a sweet tooth. I love chocolate. Does anyone have any tips or tricks they use ?
Cheers0 -
Hi Guys....
Can I join too? Have loads to lose... - have a feeling my debt free day will come sooner than my fat free day!!!
Currently weigh 107 kg and need to get down to around 68kg
First weigh in is on Monday..."A simple life freely chosen is a source of strength. Do not be pursuaded into buying what you do not need or cannot afford." Quaker Faith & Practice 1.02.410 -
welcome firrybabe and FrugalFox and (oops Nearly missed you) pawpurrs and Ally,
Firrybabe, I have choclate ready brek for a chocolate fix and that lemon cake recipe is very sweet. I've got a cjhocolate cake recipe but haven't treid it yet. Also well done for not dropping out with you mates, it would have been so easy for you to do that, but you didn't which just shows that you ARE determined
pawpurrs, staying the same is better than putting on so keep going....
Frugal, stick wuth smaller tragets so that the end doesn't seem so far away and you WILL get there sooner than you think
Good luck allI haven't got one!0 -
Frugal - i have an awful lot to lose too (though i feel weird about posting it). My first target is to lose 10% of my weight which if i lose a couple of lbs a week should hopefully be in May sometime and will bring my weight down to a healthier place on the BMI charts you can get. Even reaching the 10% will be a great achievement and will hopefully spur me on to another target.
It's going to be hard but I just keep focusing on how good it'll be to be healthier and buy smaller clothes (i tried on swimming suits last night in m&s so that i can start getting more exercise and was horrified at what size i needed, but even more determined to lose weight!).
And the support you get here from everyone is helping!
Ally, totting up our combined weight losses would be fun - i just dont' think i can count that high0 -
Ally wrote:thought this would be fun ... waaaaaaaay back when this thread started .... we would have our weigh in and add up our total loss for the week ....
maybe we should do it this weekend! It may just shock ya .... and show how well you are ALL doing!
What do you guys think?
All the weight losses (or not) get lost in amongst the chat. What if someone agreed to have everyone PM them their weight change, and that person added them all up on the same day each week and posted how many people, and the total weight lost?Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0 -
Hi everyone, welcome to all those who have recently joined.
I haven't posted for two weeks, so here is a quick update, I lost one pound this week, but I put on two pounds last week.
The only good news is that I have started to exercise. I go for a walk once a week and to the gym twice a week.
I have got 5 weeks to lose 12lbs, so that I can reach my initial target.
Good luck to everyone0 -
Welcome Solitaire! Well Done with the weight loss. I wish I could start exercising but I have got 2 prolapsed discs in my back and unfortunately can't - so you get the thumbs up from me for doing so!
5 weeks to lose 12lb is do-able. Could you set yourself a target of 2 a week and then that will be 10 by the end - any more will be a bonus?I've just over 7 weeks to my holiday and would like to lose about that amount by then too. How about measuring yourself too, to see the inches lost (it will keep your motivation up). I keep telling people to do that, I MUST do it myself - infact I will do that this morning!
Anyway - welcome again and good luck - keep posting your progress - we love to hear it!0 -

What a good idea Sue, I can volunteer for that so, like Sue says, if you all send me your weight loss on a weekly basis by PM, then I will post each Friday the TOTAL weight loss and the number of people involved.
Solitaire, welcome, I'm with honey, I wish I could exercise, I do walk, but, like Honey, can't do intense exercise due to my back being held together with screws!!
Good luck and the 12lbs in 5 weeks is definitely achieveableI haven't got one!0 -
