Honey and Cheeky Mole - well done!

Just got back from Slimming World myself! Lost 2.5lbs this week, so 6lbs in 2 weeks.

  • Hi
Just found this forum very new to all this.I go to Slimming World on a Thursday but am a bit shy so haven't made many friends.I'm doing really well I've lost 26lbs since September and got my Club 10 last week. But the depressing thing is that I have to lose that again twice !!!!!.
I'm at home at the moment as little one is sick with this virus so food is all around me at least in work I can't eat all day.

    Good luck all slimmers

    Hi Maxine

Wow 26lbs since September is good going, I have lost 15lbs since October, and congrats on your Club 10, I am trying to get that but it seems a long way off LOL. I know what you mean about food, if it's there feel you have to eat it don't you?

Hope your little one is better soon and keep posting you are doing really well.:D

  • Thanks for all your kind words.I've always been big but my husband says I'm beautiful so I wasn't too bothered. But my sister got married last August and I was a bridesmaid and the dress fit when I bought it but on the day I had to be sqeezed into it.When the photos came back I still thought I looked ok big but ok. Then in mid September went to the park with my husband and kids and went on the see-saw with my husband and I went down and he went up.He is a foot taller than me so I knew I had to do something about it. That was my lightbulb moment.
I looked at all my clothes that didn't fit any more and how my weight was making me feel frumpy and old and decided to do something about it.The first few weeks were hard as there is a canteen at work and everyone has bacon sarnies etc for breakfast. There is always cakes chocolates and sweets around but I keep in my head that look of horror on my kids face when they seen the seesaw and it keeps me on the straight and narrow.
I tried on my bridesmaid dress yesterday as I am going to a ball at the end of Feb and it fits me perfectly now didn't need any help with the zip or anything so I felt a bit guilty about not doing it for my sisters wedding. But I can't turn the clock back and she was happy for me to be there.
I set myself a target to be at goal for Christmas 2006 and if I get off my bum and do some exercise I will make it.I have made every excuse and more not to lose weight in the past but this time I am determined that this is the last time I will ever have to lose weight.

    Have to go -calpol duty
