Well said! And it blinkin well needed saying too! :T:T:T0

I agree too.
If you look at the number of times a thread has been viewed compared to the number of thanks it's recieved - huge difference! I know not everyone that views it enters, but I think there are a lot of people who just don't thank. I think there are also a lot of people who come here to enter the comps but who aren't even registered.
A couple of little things though...
Sometimes people may win a comp that they didn't enter via a post here. I have some links in my favourites that I enter regularly now, but not from a link here. However, if I do happen to come across the comp on here I do still thank the person who took the time to post it.
The other thing I wanted to say was that I've won in the past, searched to find the OP and found I hadn't thanked. I ALWAYS thank when I enter via a thread but it doesn't always work.
Anyway, clicking the thanks button costs nothing.

Maybe I missing something obvious, but if someone wins from a comp that wasn't posted here, why didn't they share it? Fair enough if they didn't have the time, but why then find the time to post about it in IWIWIW?0

Yep, have to agree with you lot. I know it's hard to find a comp that isn't always on here, I have posted comps myself & couldn't find it in search but it has been on here somewhere and ended up merging. But at least I do try and I always thank people even if I haven't entered comp but still read post. Thanks for bringing this up tttJay.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0

Isn't it all about sharing and encouraging others?.
I didn't say the comps aren't posted here, I said I don't always enter via the posts. If you already have the comp page in your favourites, as I sometimes do, there's no point entering via this site. If the comp isn't already posted of course I'd post it but usually someone has beaten me to it.

It took me a month once to find out where my prize had come from but I ran a search every single day until I found out who to thank.
There is NO excuse for not saying thankyou. Without the comp posters none of us would be winning a bean. Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I might not thank them if I post on here a win, but I always try to search them out and pm them a quick thank you message.
Now I just need to do some winning!!0 -

Fair enough, but it was really a general question as I'd seen others post in IWIWIW and say they were comps from another board/site, which is why I didn't quote your post, Jen. It just reminded me, and I thought I'd raise the subject whilst we were all having a whinge.0 -
Sorry Happypig, I didn't mean to be huffy about it.
