Please, please when you win something from a comp on here at least say thanks. There are posts today that just say what has been won....nothing more and I think that is so out of order!! It is nice to actually thank the op if possible, but I know the search doesn't always work.....but please do try

I have to agree with you on this - even if you win something & can't find the specific post or which op to thank, it's polite to say 'thanks to whoever posted this comp'.The Rock Chick, she say 'courtesy costs nowt' - spread the word!0

Well said both of you! One of my personal pet hates aswell!!!
I personally love looking through to see which comp a prize is from, and who posted it, sometimes it's a pain to find, but if you can't and you genuinely have tried and say this on the thread it may jog someone elses memory and they'll remember.
I think it's much nicer to go to the trouble of finding the OP otherwise it just looks like someone uses the board to "take take take" even though that may not be the case. *not meaning anyone in particular before you all get your knickers in a twist, just a general observation*
I get just as much of a buzz from knowing someone has won from one of my posts as I do when I win something, maybe even more so! so you could just make someones day by giving them a personal thanks xxxxxxx0 -
hear hear well said tttjay i agree i always make a point of thanking the OP or if i cant find it i ask the mse's if anyone can help me find who to thank. i wouldnt be winning without them so its nice to say thankyoufeb wins: tshirt with my slogan on

I agree. Also annoying when ppl say they have won a comp and when you look at the comp post, they haven't even checked the thanks box. It only takes a second to check it.E.I.J.O.Q.U.X.Y.Z:staradmin You gotta be in it to win it! :staradmin0

Well said but i think some people just get caught up in the excitement. lolAsk.. Believe.. Receive..

They wouldn't have won without the op, so its courtesy, its also mad when u see people win and they actually thank the op on the day they won, not whilst the comp was running? so some people will only do a thanks if they win.
Each to their own etc xxxx It obv doesn't bother them as much as us itms xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Well said!! Manners and politeness cost nothing
I have a spreadsheet saved on my memory stick where I put end date, prize and the person who posted on it, then if I win anything and can't find the OP, I just filter on the prizes on my spreadsheet and it brings up all OP's who posted those comps so I can get a general idea of who I am looking for to thank!Smoke-free since 7/12/2011 :0)

Totally agree, everyone should make the effort to thank the original poster.

Must admit I agree on this one I always try to find and thank the OP but I know you can't always manage to do that still nice to say thankyou though0

I completely agree! I always find the OP and make sure I thank them as they took the time to post the comp in the first place :T
Good manners don't cost a thing :cool:0
