Hi ,
You must be very scared right now but my advice would be to involve the police yourself. As the previous person said who on earth would leave two thousand pounds under the desk? It all sounds very dodgy as if the person who rang is trying to cover their tracks. They have no right to accuse you just because you were there. Could you afford to get an app with a solicitor most of them do a cheap first app at £10 to £20 pounds . I really think you have nothing to worry about because you have done nothing wrong . If they want you to go to any more meetings say you want someone from the CAB to be present . Dont let anyone bully you , you have rights as an employee0 -
something isn't right....
you cannot be charged with "that apparently i was seen picking an orange object up"
I take it you have been charged with "theft"....in which case, how were you given a court date in March, I take it you were properly cautioned before giving your statement, did you employ the services of a solicitor...have you been in touch with a solicitor, who advised you not to discuss it further. I f the statements you have made so far are correct, you are unlikely to be convicted of theft...I really hope you have a solicitor.
Apparently picking up an object...that can't be identified...and no one knows what it is ... is not a strong enough case to get a conviction, for goodness sake, no one has been able to say the money was there, no one can place the money at the scene, the manager doesnt even know where the money was, she did after all wonder had she taken it home!!! so how can you take what wasn't there in the first place....perjury is a serious offence, I hope your manager realises this...your advising solicitor and barrister will make sure your manager knows.
Exactly, as it has been told this makes no sense.0 -
if you have a march date set for court you must have already been to court to be charged. Have you actually been charged with anything, you cannot be charged with nothing and 'apparrently'.
does the cctv clearly show you picking up a 'orange' item and placing it in your back, is the cctv clearly 'you'?
what has your solicitor advised you to do?
going back to the orange item, if its clearly you and you are happy that it is you and the object is orange you must be able to think what you may have put in your bag that day, surely you have removed it at some point, possbily at home, try to remember that day, was it foodstuff, an item you may have purchased earlier that day??
Does you cash bags have a orange colour? surely if the item cannot be identified then surely in law you cannot be accused with something.
if you have a court date, did a sargeant in the police station charge you, you must have been charged with something, there has to be a deffinate charge, you cannot go to court with an apparently. The CPS would not let it go that far if there in insufficiant evidence.
Have you already appeared in court and its been ajourned to a further date (march)???All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -
i noticed you said you had a PINK makeup bag, but they said it was ORANGE, well trust me colours on cctv or whatever cant be true as my pc when it starts is GREEN unless i kick it -0

I was thinking that too your makeup bag may look orange on the cctv. I'm sure they should be able to enhance the cctv to show what it is you are handling.0 -
I would ask for a copy of the CCTV footage. Surely if you have been charged then you have a right to see it.I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

cctv footage is not always admissable or reliable as evidence...
I hope the OP is confusing things a bit such as charged and court date etc as poster above has pointed out, the CPS would not normally pursue a case as flimsy as this, there are possibly 3 sides to every story, your way, their way and the right way....as I said a few posts back...something isn't right here...I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -
If the story is as the OP is saying And add it to what she has said in this thread:

It sounds like the the Boss is trying to cover up a scam.0 -
Can't see how the OP can have been charged as the story, as told so far, makes little sense to me now.
If the OP has done nothing wrong the she will be fine.0
