Its true that theres sometimes 'too many cooks' with too many different ideas
Which usually completely confuses the poor OP.

Best bet that way I find is state your case and sit back (And clearly voice your opinion if you believe a suggestion really SHOULDNT be used)

Okay, I ran malwarebytes but it restarted my laptop before I had a chance to post the log. I looked in the "logs" section when it restarted and there's nothing there.
D'ya want me to run another scan?

...if it found nothing, probably not..if it did find some stuff, and it re-booted the comp in order to remove stuff, yes..is your scanner back up yet ?? is the comp running better/worse/normal ??

wait, I remember when everything started to stop working.

It was when I installed Avast! Antivirus, but it's gone now and the things are still not working
