Ask yourself one question before booking a photographer for less than £500 to do a wedding.
1 Ring them on Monday Morning to see what they are doing, if they are at another place of work, who is doing the processing of your photographs?0 -
ive pre book mine at £500 from 11am till 9pm
http://www.suzannalaw.co.uk/
but im not 100% sure
is this gud im getting all the pictures she takes on cd and i cant pay extra £40 for an album
can any1 rec any one else in the manchester/rochdale area
Could you buy or ask for an album for a present and print the pics off yourself
I had some modelling pics done by true definition, his website doesn't mention weddings but he is an awesome photographer and wasn't particulary expensive, might be worth a try.
Has anyone looked on photographer forums for photographers? Sometimes you can get time for print or reduced prices if you co operate with the photographer, so that you get the pics they want and they can try out new styles/techniques etc. Also there is another forum where you can advertise that you are looking for a photographer for paid work, say what your budget is and what you would want from that?
Just thought I'd mention it as a mse point of view0 -

They might be processing them in the evenings or at weekends?
I am a part time photographer.....what's your point? I can work up to 3 weddings a month and work in my day job 4 days a week and still manage to process all my weddings.....beautifully I might addIt all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0 -

Just remember that as with any purchase, you should go away from wedding fayres and book after you have reached a decision rather than booking on the day.
i never book anything immediatly, i always say i will think about it and then let negotiations begin;)
good advice though for others who may be tempted:Twould love to win an ipad!

The list on the youandyourwedding website was compiled by me.
If anyone offering a sub £500 package would like to be added [prices must be displayed on your website] just PM me.
The list of sub £500 photographers on www.sub500.co.uk is essentially the same but is updated more frequently.
I'm glad my list has helped a few people find an affordable photographer!Wedding Professional0 -
Hi Deecy had a look at your website, good idea, would you be able to add the area next to the links? I just think narrowing down an area might be more helpful for some rather than having to check all the links to try & find 1 local to you. I'm mainly thinking of Scotland really, England seems pretty well broken up.
Would it be ok to email my photographer with your details to see if she would like to be included?Booo!!!0 -
One of reasons we aren't more area specific is that many if not almost all professioanl photographers will cover more than one region for little or no travel fee. Looking locally is a good start but severely restricts choices. Choosing on location primarily isn't something I'd recommend, choose on quality, style, price, value etc first, then narrow down the choices from there - and haggle!
Anyone can ask to be included, photographers themselves or someone recommending a photographer. The only stipulation is that they must display there prices to be included & have at least one package/service under £500.Wedding Professional0
