I found this within another chat room, but to avoid any copyrights problems etc (checked with a mod first
), I'll add just the link to the post.

There's 10 photographers listed in Scotland,
13 in Northern England,
3 in Northern Ireland,
30 in the North West,
8 in Yorkshire,
19 in the West Midlands,
12 in the East Midlands,
11 in Wales,
7 in East Anglia,
26 in London,
32 in the South East,
15 in the South West
I've added a few in my region to my list of possibilities, as not yet booked venue so will be sorting through these myself in a couple of weeks. One in my area charges £50 by the hour!
Link updated due to redesign of the website with the list - enjoy.....

Thought a reminder of this might be handy.
Also am I being really thick? I thought pics had to be on CD not DVD in order to print - they keep saying 'fully printable DVD of images'.
Does anyone know what this means - do you upload them to your PC from the DVD and order online? Can you take it into a photoshop to be printed?
Is there anything else I need to know, or should ask when seeing a photographer that offers this?0 -
Thanks wee click.
Is there any differences I should know between 'cd of x images - client has copyright', 'fully printable disc' and 'fully printable dvd'?
I understand the CD one because that is clear. I thought you couldn't print from DVD - am I wrong. I don't want to end up having to order pics through the photographer only or having unexpected costs!0 -
Hi - I am photographer (on that list in NE England :-))and can help with this question.
I provide the images on a DVD just because it allows more photos to be burned into it (more space than a CD). It's acts just like a CD and you can print from it. However you need a letter from your photographer giving you printing rights as I know places like Boots can sometimes ask for the photographers permission before taking your order.
I also create slideshows which are burned onto DVDs which cannot be printed. It all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0 -
Sorry to ask so many questions - with the DVD can you upload it onto the computer to print using online services or can you only take it into a photoshop with the letter to print?
Thanks!0 -
Hiya, sorry I couldnt answer you sooner. Yes many photographers will use DVD format purely because you fit more on it, but acts the same way as a cd. You should be able to put in on your computer and print through any online service you wish providing the photographer hasnt "locked" the dvd in which case youd only be able to view the photos and do nothing with it, but its highly unlikely that this will happen!
Make sure also when you get the letter from your photographer to allow you to print that its on headed paper, and that it clearly states that you have the right to print and reuse the photos as you wish otherwise no one will touch it due to copyright.
When you print using online services you wont be asked for any letter but you may have to tick a box that says that you agree you have permission to print this item etc etc.
We also make dvds of photos put to music for our clients, so check your contract and make sure its a printable dvd your getting and not a "slideshow" type format! Other thing to check is that the photos will arrive free from copyright ie. one bride we got speaking to told me that her photographer gave her a cd and on every single photo had a nice big copyright watermark on it and so all of the photos were useless and couldnt be used for anything - cleverly the photographer had moved to Australia before the bride had even realised! So please make sure everything is the way you want it before its too late!Life is what you make it.0 -
Not sure if the photographer I used is on the list - Roy Wilson.
His website is euro photgraphic (.com)
Roy was excellent on out wedding day, most of our guests weren't even aware that he was there and we got some amazing natural shots. He also accompanied us to a local beauty spot for some pictures of just myself and my new husband which are really special.
As an extra bonus he is really reasonably priced for the great job that he does.0 -
