They were implying that we needed a new modem for the 10Mb but when we tried the free trial of it back in Jan, it worke fine on our current hardware.and register, possibly you will need a new modem, they will send it for you to self-install.
The link will automatically inform you if you require a new modem.A_Nice_Englishman wrote: »I was on 'Size M' (2 Mb/s), registered via the link given a couple of weeks ago and was told a new modem would be sent. I was a little surprised as I was sure my less than two year old modem would support 10 MB/s. No modem, letter or email has arrived so far so I was waiting patiently for my turn.
I accidentally switched off my modem last night and when I switched it back on found I had been upgraded.paulwellerfan wrote: »well i have just ran a test to see how fast my modem was and now i am on 10mb.
i was also told i needed to have a new modem and that it would be sent out to me.:j
Hooray, as my 2Mb service has become pretty atrocious.
I'm currently on 2Mb & have a Samsung SMT-2110C set-top box for TV & broadband.
Had this set-top box for 4 years (since 2005).
The letter says I need a separate new modem.
1) Anyone know if the Samsung SMT-2110C set-top box can handle 10Mb broadband ??
2) Does everyone have separate modems for 10Mb or does anyone have a set-top box for Tv/BB ??

How do you know what mb you have.
I am with Virgin have been since NTL days. We pay £19.62 I think per month.
Got letter about the upgrade but haven't done anything about it.0 -

Do a broadband speed test should also give you an idea.
