    Oh dear Fay! (((((((((((((fay)))))))))))))))

Sounds like a right fiasco - and you're right, something has to be done for all your sanity. I did laugh at the support you're getting from your family - like you say, at least it's there! :)

Sounds like you're doing exactly the right thing - you're right, make sure you don' burn bridges before you get what YOU want out of this first - and if that's staying on in some capacity to finish up your work, then so be it, bite your tongue, and tell OH he'll have to do the same! Trust yourself to work it out... Thinking of you..

<shudders at thought of no internet>

How did we survive without it?? ;0)

it was very horrible, i tried for an hour in desperation to get online, OH started when he got home and ended up calling BIL and suprisingly enough they eventually decided that the server was down... i think i told them that about 10 mins into the whole episode.

heater has been on this afternoon but my extremities are very cold even with fluffy stripy socks on. I managed to get 2x3 months done so only 6 month left to do (well two lots of them any way). still wondering whether or not to bake some buns, at least it will warm the kitchen up.
on another scary note had to empty the dehumidifier, took less than 12 hours to get over a gallon of water out, i know i have washing out there but some of the time it was running was overnight when it was just the general atmosphere.

    OH LT

    Poor you

Well haven't acheived much today aside wriitng a letter to my head of dept (now on his desk) and emailed ot arrange a meeting.

Double gulp. I've been meek and mild, saying that I just don't think I can cope intellectually with the challenge (no mention of bad management - rude supervisors or anything) and could I please be given a less challenging route please pretty please. I want to finish my work, get a decent amount of my life back and get a decent shuffle out of the dept.

I have abosolutely no morals nor any ego - I am very happy to take all of the blame if it means a quiet life and a way forward. I would like to finish my work to date and write it up - if I don't then good luck to them finding someone stupid enough to finish all my final sampling, be a dogs body and write it all up.

And of course if I can keep a grant cheque every month until I go that would make life at home a bit easier. I doubt they will buy it quietly - but I can but hope.

Need to get on with some stuff now.

Never resigned from anything ever before, even got turfed out of my marriage rather than gave up.

Very wierd feeling - absolutley loads of work left to do - mildly panicked but I can't feel like I did on friday - no idea what will happen - they will either be nice and helpful or be indignant that i have thrown in the towel

  • Hey HB ta for the offer of soup

Didn't get much done over the weekend (unlike I planned somehow to miraculously finish up all the sections)

    Dreamt about work all night

Wonder what will happen today - I feel releived that something will change and terrified all at the same time.

on the money front - parcels to post today for some cash (wii stuff) -
Banks are OK for the mo
Must ring 02 about a direct debit that I cancelled too early (whoops)
Must ring about oil and maybe about logs as well cos we are at the bottom of the pile and with one thing and anohter there are no more chopped and dried

Morning all and hope you are all good.
