  • Hiya cheery - cathederal about a 3 minute walk from the house!

Was thinking about you today as the German lassie is cleaning out her room for your arrival!

No news today so plodding on entering data and seeing what my meeting on Friday will bring me

They are proposing I do ANOTHER kind of write up thing before they decide what to do with me

I'm inclined to go on the path of least resistence - ie probably an MRes - I don't need the hassle of an MPhil I dont think

Hugs to you and thanks for the lovely cheery message

Logs arrived and the DS will stack them up so there's lots of wood in!

As I sit in the house with my hat and scarf on - I think you may have a good idea!

Waves to HP as well - best version of Charlie and the Chocolate factory in my opinion.:D

    And mine!

We still have no central heating, so pretty much live permanently in the living room :) Bed is GREAT - but then there's a HUGE problem trying to get back out of it again!

Very excited about holidays :):):) Don't do anything special for us! Excited about prospect of WARM wood though - although promise not to use all of it!

You must let us know what we can bring in the van - pine cones?? Need to get out and collect some!! Also have £10 off when spending £30 voucher at Tesco for this week and another for next week - so can stock up on, er, tins of chick peas or summat??

Might be time for a Sheffield-based stripey shop too - seems too good an offer to waste, although being disorganised, I've already missed the first week - d'oh! (HATE tesco, especially at this time of year...)

Can't believe they want you to do something ELSE now too! Pah to the lot of them!
  • Fay - sounds like you've really got your head straight about things now which is good news. I'll cross my fingers that they now come forward with some practical help and suggestions for you.

LT PLEASE put your heating on a bit more - you can't be sitting around freezing cold all the time, not to mention how damp your flat will get.

Hey Fay, just sending you big hugs.

I know the feeling of just wanting it all to be over but try not to let them get away with too much. From what you've posted I think they have treated you appallingly badly and they should be ashamed of themselves

Hopefully this will be resolved by Xmas so you don't have it hanging over your head.

Cheery Daff - that 'daily mail' quote has got me most intrigued, am now imagining sentence along lines of blaming single mothers or illegal immigrants for transport problems? Or alternatively did you name-check a minor royal??
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
  • Thanks chaps!

    You are all very lovely

Cheery daff - my stripey socks shop is looking a bit bare and I know I will get some shopping when away but will struggle to get much as there will be a full car of people and peedies (well 5 people but ONE peedie!)

Can we consult on a list I certainly need alot of tinned staples like tomatoes, beans, soup etc - Happy to pay for my stuff if it helps you use your vouchers - :)

I think they are being a bit difficult here - but am happy to fight my corner now - I will also go and see one who I know is in my corner and ask him to point out I am not fussed about writing ANYTHING up unless its done the way I feel is the best and I am NOT jumping through anymore hoops unless I have too.......

Waves to all about ot get on with some work!

hi fay, well done for standing your corner on this issue. we've got a departmental meeting about what do we do at work in readiness for our interviews next month by the 'lets get rid of loads of staff people'. (ok they're not really called that but it's the implication.
I'm trying hard to be sparkly at work as aparently i've been snapping at my team...... you all know the provocation i'm under (see posts above) and that's not the half of it.

EH i'm taking my leccy meter reading tonight so i can see how we're going since the weekend but as we hit another all time low of 9, i think the heating will be going on a little earlier today. thank you for your concern, i am trying to be a stallwort and not spend leccy but sometimes this things beat me.
