back, survived the horrible diabetic nurse (with holding some info i have to admit) and also the removal of the mole, back next week to have stitches removed. I didn't sign up for stitches!
OH visited the allotment today and i think we'll be taking it on, so that's some hard work lined up which should help on the increased exercise front.

Ooh, an allotment LT, how exciting! Hard work indeed, but much fun, and much free veg! :) Well done on the afternoon's trials...

Just updating cheery signature, but I see it's automatically updated before anyway in a kind of time machine type fashion...

Very exciting this paying things off malarkey! I reckon before MSE I would have just done some extra work, and the extra £100 here and there would have just vanished into thin air! The challenge I guess is making sure I carry on putting it to one side (if it's there!) once I've paid Mr Daffs back...

i remember in pre LBM moments, when i used to do overtime i'd swear to myself that it would not just disappear into the ether but it did anyway. Since LBM, on the rare occasions that i've had a pay rise it's been added to my payments.
    I can't update my signature today :(

Fay, haven't posted in a while and just read through past few days worth of posts.

Big hugs for you - most stressful time.

I hope that you will get support with whatever decision you make from the University. The thing is, if you end up leaving this PhD it is going to be because of their lack of support and help. This really reflects badly on them in my opinion and I hope they can see that and see if there is a workable solution.

You were only recently diagnosed with dyslexia and it doesn't seem to me like there has been much time (or support) to settle down with that?

Anyway I know whatever decision you make will be the right one and indeed your grannie sounds very wise indeed!

    Take care

    xx

ps M&S have fab stripy tights, I have a pair in varying shades of purple and a grey argyle style pair which are ace! :j
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Waves to LT - glad you're OK

Regarding my evil work (which isnt that evil) ........as my granny use to say

'Hen, whits fir y, willnae go past y'

    (in broad Dundonian)

'My dear, if some opportunity in life is meant to be yours it will not pass you by'

    Wheest hen & stop mithering.

It will work itself out :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Hi chaps - thanks for all the cheery messages and thoughts - LT hope you are OK (()).

Skids in - about to go to bed, not working frantically so much as resolutely - I am still plodding along, not heard much yet at work. I am trying to come to soem kind of amazing conclusion about weeds and SRC crops - how come a few paragraphs take so long????????????

There's no way I can ever attain all that is supposed to be done by the end of term - there's bound to be stress coming with meetings later in the week, early next week.

I just need to keep my chin up and the notion in my head that I'm trying hard, if its actually my 'absolute best' I dunno - and I could work harder I guess but trying to get coherent thoughts together is more productive than rushing.

    I may nickname myself 'Brian'

hope all is well with you fay, i'm cheesed off with myself being cheesed off all the time. How silly is that. At least i made tea from scratch and didn't find a silly excuse tonight, i've tidied about 5 elements of this messy room and yesterday i did get 2x2 months of calendars made. think i'm going to try and gather myself together this weekend and give myself a good shake
  • hands LT a mixer - any idea why so out of sorts

Stripey residence is decked in some xmas tree branches all along the 5m mantle peice and 7 pillar candles :)

Unfortunately for me the man delivering my candles (treat to myself from m&S) dropped the box and 7 candles bashed, broken or smashed -

HOwever 10 mins on the phone to M&S and an explaination as to why I couldnt go into the store to return my candles - they've just replaced them FOC

Therefore the bashed and mangled candles are popped on the mantle with various bits of vegetation drapped around them, so you can't see the bashes!

Hugs everyone - Big tree up at the weekend

    Away for a catch up
