Know what you mean. And good manners can really make your day, like when someone properly says thank you when you hold a door for them - it's not difficult for me to do (second nature) but it's so nice to be thanked :)

I thought I wanted to work in academia - not so sure about that now - there's maybe lots of ways of working with flowers and communicating in my own way without actually being a researcher. I don't like talking in public, I don't like my and others work slagged off and I don't like the pretentious 'exclusive' club that some folks with Dr's think they are (NO offence to NICE folks with Dr's at the start of their name)

Hear hear girl! You have to pick the bits you like I reckon. You DON'T always need a PhD to be a researcher, you DON'T always need to be a researcher to work in academia, and you certainly don't need to work in academia to tell people about flowers!

You're a creative and imaginative lass, and I'm sure you'll find a much more cheery way of doing things :T

I made you a nice cheery present today, just trying to decide whether to bung it in the post, or wrap it and bring it with me at new year - let me know if you have a preference! (it's only small so easy to post or bring! You might get another cheery present when we come too (although no idea what that will be yet!) so feel free to request this one in the post for cheering up purposes!

Emailed nice supervisor head of division person. Asked for a meeting and told him exactly why.

    Double GULP.

Also drafted email to Uni student support.

Sorted out all my papers and everything is organised for this week - also sorted out paper in a pile for this next section.

And dug out the critical thinking stuff

Might think about bed soon and a bit of 'light' reading so I can crack on the morn.

Hugs chaps thanks for letting me obsess about a solution.

I wouldn't have been Dr of Flowers anyway cos willow is shrub.
