!!!!!!! the dishwasher has just gone bang! got to pursuade OH to get a new one tomorrow, sounds a luxury but my hands are so bad that they bleed when i clean and wash up so it's down to OH to do the latter (which he doesn't mind) but they seem to smell and have a film on them, and i don't think he had the same lessons in washing up as we did in home ec. in our school. I don't mention it cos it's mean and ungratefull.

Are you doing anything exciting this weekend? Any rodents to freeze/defrost?
    L

:rotfl:OH's here - he's not keen on rodents :rotfl:

Sorry chaps being rubbish - funny how little time there is when other folks are around - dunno how you all do it.

Not done much except wrapped a few pressies...............meant to pick a tree today (real one) but we didnt get around to it will see if they are open tomorrow - as there's only one lorry in with trees then they will not be any fresher - too early to put it up but will just leave it outside for a couple weeks.

My 'best girl' said yes and has offered to help loads, so that's ace!!!

Evening Fay, Christmas trees already! How exciting! Ours will be up by next weekend... :):) I LOVE Christmas, want to get full use of tree before we head up to sit under yours! :):)

Just been experimenting with new signature... Am so proud of you with all your paying off of evil debts... I don't count it as 'debt' as such (I don't have any of that, lol!), but I didn't pay any rent for the last 4 months of PhD cos I wasn't working, so I now want to repay that to Mr Daffs (plus £100 for something Stupid Van needed doing, that I now can't remember the details of)...

.. so, I aim to follow your example and pay it all off really quickly! :):)

(will experiment with numbers though, going to transfer to Mr Daffs' bank in £50 increments, but I think I want to know every little bit I've saved!)
  • Well done Cheerydaff - I think having a signature will spurn you on to pay off OH!!

I hope you approve of our tree - norway spruce (I think) 6ft - hope it doesn't double in size once its in the house :) as they do - and double value as you will get to use it too :)

As OH was only up this weekend - he wanted to help pick the tree - so we got one earlier than we would normally - its so cold outside I am sure it will be OK out there for a couple weeks!!

hi Fay, came on here to tell you i'd gotten an email to say my money is winging it's way to me £75 mega bargain. Will help as bingo britain has dried up again. But it's already factored into my debt free day calculation. This now stands at Sept 2011. It's now more than 2 years earlier than my first ever calculation (and i never really did calculate clearing my cc properly at that stage.) Still got to try and find an extra £200 odd each month to bring it forward to April 11, but who know's what's possible.
Last night i introduced my sister to the pleasures of free scratch cards, PAD'ing and free bingo. We had a lovely day yesterday scrapbooking and catching up with each other.
Our chrissy tree isn't likely to go up until about the 22nd when both OH and i have the day off work.
